Bill came home to Joana's apartment around eleven at night. He thought Joana must be asleep so he went straight inside to clean up. After showering and putting on his pajamas, Bill went to the kitchen because he was thirsty.

"Just home?" Joana's voice startled Bill who was drinking water.

Bill put down the glass he was drinking from, then turned to Joana who looked like someone who was about to leave. The reason is, her appearance now looks neat.

"Are you going out?" Bill asked.

"Yes. The potential investor from the other day asked to meet again now. He said he had something to say in person before actually deciding to invest." Joana said.

Bill's face changed as soon as he heard that. He recalled how Joana had come home drunk because she had been given alcohol by the prospective investor. Now they also looked like they were about to do the same thing to Joana again, given that it was quite late when they asked to meet.

"Can't you say no, Jo?" asked Bill.

"What do you mean no? If I say

Everything that happens in the private room is beyond the expectations of Adam, Roe and their friends. Originally, they had intended to trap Joana by putting stimulants in her drink, then have a good time before deciding whether or not to invest. However, what happened this time was that they were listening to Joana's presentation once again about Zigga Company and the projects the company was currently working on.Bill's presence with Joana was, of course, the main reason things were not going according to their plan. The man looked like a tiger ready to pounce on anyone who dared to touch Joana."How about it, Mr. Adam and Mr. Roe? Have you all decided to become our investors after my presentation?" Joana asked after finishing her presentation.Adam and Roe looked a little misguided. Bill could clearly see that the two men were not serious about investing. They were just eyeing Joana's body.Joana was indeed an attractive woman when viewed through the eyes of a man. She had a beauti

In the end, the potential investors who intended to harass Joana were actually prosecuted. The conversation recorded by Bill and the stimulating drugs brought by Roe were enough to prove that they only wanted to take advantage of Joana, not really intending to invest. Especially after the three men brought by Adam and Roe also admitted that they were invited to have fun with a woman.Very coincidentally, one of the police officers who received a report from Bill was an acquaintance of Bill's when the man was still in his old business. Merick, the police officer who had saved Bill's life by accident. At that time Merick wanted to give Bill some money as a thank you, but Bill refused. Therefore, until now Merick still feels indebted to Bill and will not waste the opportunity to help his savior, as long as it is not against the law. Bill also seemed to get an unexpected favor. With Merick around, it was easier for him to convey the chronology of events from the beginning. Including when

"Bill, can you talk to me in my office for a moment?" Joana asked when Bill was having a serious conversation with Ginna. Without waiting for an answer from Bill first, Joana immediately went back into his office.Bill and Ginna's conversation automatically stopped. Bill signaled Ginna that he should go to Joana's office first."What's wrong?" asked Bill when he was in front of Joana's desk."Please sit down." Joana invited Bill to sit down first.Bill sat down in a chair that was available. Joana opened a document and showed it to Bill. "This list of potential investors that you gave me the other day, are all trustworthy people, right? I mean ....""They are trustworthy people. There's no need to worry. Even if they are not interested in investing, they will say it honestly. They won't do anything to you." Bill answered before Joana finished her sentence. He already knew what Joana was worried about."Good then." Joana said in a half mumble. Honestly, she still felt a little traumat

"I thought you weren't coming," the woman said with a happy face.Bill opened his mouth slightly to reply, but he couldn't when the woman in front of him pulled out a brown box tied with a pink ribbon."I made this myself. I hope you like it," the woman said as she handed the box to Bill.Bill couldn't help but accept the box. "What's this?" asked Bill a little confused."Chocolate. You like eating chocolate, right? Don't worry, I made it myself from dark chocolate, so it's not too sweet," said the woman."Yeah, I know it's chocolate. I mean, why did you give this to me?" Bill asked again. As a grown man who had just gone through a bitter divorce, this kind of thing was no longer appropriate for Bill. He was no longer a teenager, so this all felt a little childish."Don't you understand? Should I be more direct?" The woman asked back.Bill was again at a loss for words. He was at a loss as to how to respond to this. Should he immediately refuse in a rude and cruel way?"I'm confessin

While at the thrift store, Bill and Ginna became awkward with each other. They both seemed to be thinking about the incident at the warehouse. If Ginna was regretting her impulsive act of claiming to be Bill's girlfriend in front of Marisa, Bill himself was worried about what would happen if Marisa spread the rumor that Bill was dating Ginna. The atmosphere in the office would definitely become a little uncomfortable. Not to mention, Ginna already had a boyfriend. I didn't know how to explain to Ginna's boyfriend if there was a misunderstanding."Bill, what kind of rice cooker do you want?" Ginna asked while nudging Bill's arm."Huh?" Bill's reverie was instantly broken. "What are you thinking about? Ever since I explained the advantages of each of these rice cookers, you haven't been listening, have you?" Ginna asked again."Ah, sorry," Bill said, scratching the back of his neck. "Please choose which one you think has the best quality."Ginna could only agree to Bill's request. She

Joana tried to look normal, even though her heart clearly felt uneasy every time she heard the closeness between Bill and Ginna. Even though Bill had previously said that the old man considered Ginna only as a younger sister, and vice versa. But still, Joana couldn't control her own feelings. In fact, even though the two people have a relationship that is more than that, it also has nothing to do with Joana. There was no reason for Joana to feel angry, right?"Jo, why are you daydreaming?" Bill's question broke Joana's reverie, making the woman stammer a little."Nothing, I'm just thinking about work," Joana said and then gave an alibi.Bill seemed to sigh rather deeply. He didn't realize that Joana's words were just an excuse. The man thought that Joana was really struggling with the company at the moment. "By the way, do you still remember that in two days there is a meeting scheduled with the potential investor you recommended the other day?" Joana asked then changed the subject.

"Thank you very much, Bill. It wouldn't have been so easy without your help," Joana said after Ryan left."I only helped a little, not too much," Bill replied."If it wasn't for you, Zigga Company might not have gotten an investor by now. I might also still be involved with the fake potential investor from the other day," Joana said again."Never mind, there's no need to remember the past. The important thing is that everything is fine now." Bill rubbed Joana's back briefly. He knew all too well that the past few days had been tough for his friend. It was a relief that now Joana no longer had to worry about funding for the ongoing project."Yes, finally now I can focus on completing the game. If there is funding in place, the target work will be completed on time," Joana said with a sigh of relief."Everything will definitely go smoothly. The game made by Zigga Company will definitely be launched on time and will become a popular game," Bill said."Yes, I hope so." Joana nodded as she

As a form of celebration for successfully securing investors, Joana invited all her employees to have dinner together at a restaurant located not far from the office. It was not a fancy dinner because the restaurant chosen was not a starred restaurant. That's because Zigga Company is still in the pioneering stage. But that did not make the atmosphere bland. The warmth was felt even though the dinner was simple."Thank you to Bill who has helped so much lately. Zigga Company owes him a lot," Joana said during her short speech.Everyone applauded, while Bill just nodded and smiled awkwardly as he sipped his drink. He didn't really like being the center of attention like this, but what could he do? There was no way he was going to ruin the atmosphere by speaking out. Joana also seemed to be very happy, so Bill didn't have the heart to argue with her."Cheers to Bill and the Zigga Company." Lee raised his soft drink can and invited everyone to make a toast. It wasn't just Ronie, Lee and Ginna looked emotional seeing the couple. A Turning Point

The funeral went smoothly. Compared to most funerals where there is a lot of crying, the Rainer family's home was quieter and quieter. This did not mean that there was no sadness and loss, but rather that their gazes showed a stifling emptiness. Diana cried all night after hearing Jeremy's confession. Ryan wasn't that bad and he loved his family very much, it's just that the way Ryan did it wasn't justifiable. Diana felt lost and regretful, though she wasn't sure what she regretted. If only her grandfather could have spoken frankly to her or the others, maybe Diana wouldn't have had time to hate Ryan. However, all of this was Ryan's choice for the good of the Rainer family. Diana, as well as the others, could only accept this fact."I didn't expect you to go this far." Julie let out a long breath. She had heard a lot about what had happened. Between shock and deep sorrow. Heading to the cemetery, Julie and Diana walked hand in hand dressed in all black. Bill and Jonathan were in fro

    Salomon's Poison Antidote

The indebtedness that entangled the Rainer family business in the past was the beginning of the three extended families' relationship with the Rainer family, especially the Salomons. During that difficult time, the Rainer family asked the Salomons for help to protect their business from interference from others."How ignorant!" cursed the head of the Salomon family, who was currently behind bars. The man and his two colleagues looked frustrated. Various parties including their lawyers have been contacted, but no one knows what will happen to them. "The Rainer family should have had the courage to do this to us!" Marson growled with pent-up emotion. "It's all because of that damn kid!" Family patriarch Edmund cursed Bill repeatedly. "We should have just shot him in the head and even if we ended up in jail, at least one of them would have died! We're in jail anyway."The head of the Salomon family exhaled harshly. "What the hell?" shouted the head of the Edmund family. He looked hysterical as armed troops came from the opposing side. They all wore protective vests and police insignia that were familiar to his eyes."Are we being set up?" The head of the Marson family stared in disbelief as his hands were handcuffed. "Asshole! Let go! Hey, what are you guys doing?" Meanwhile, Family Head Salomon was still trying to escape. The look in his eyes was full of wrath. He was trying to escape the clutches of the special forces. "No! Let go!" He even pointed the gun that was originally embedded in his coat. However, it was clear that the special forces could easily incapacitate him. The heads of households of three families had been secured. However, this chaotic situation was still hard for them to believe. The troops that arrived were so numerous, they were no match for the number of the three families' men. The joint police team consisted of dozens of snipers and skilled fighters who raided the pl

Bill felt a pain in his chest as a kick went off. His head was still wrapped in the black bag, making it difficult for him to breathe. Another blow hit him in the face. There was definitely a bruise on Bill's face. Jonathan felt the same way. His body was still lying on the cement floor with dust now dirtying his black suit. He was stepped on, kicked repeatedly and mercilessly. Until he felt a shod foot slam into the side of his face, knocking him back to the floor. Bill tried to stay conscious because Diana was among them. He had no idea that Diana would be included in this mission. "Bastard!" Bill cursed, but no one heard him. He was worried that his sister was an easy target for these rotten criminals. "Diana!" shouted Bill who, despite trying to make his voice as loud as possible, could only make incoherent mumbles, like a delirious sleeper. Diana was half-awake. She received a hard slap as she was sat on a wooden chair with her hands tied. As soon as the black bag covering h

In the end, Bill, Jonathan and Diana had come up with a plan that would be used to counter the evil plans of the three big families. After that, Bill went back to work as usual as if nothing had happened. So did Jonathan and Diana. They moved in their respective places without showing any attention at all to the three big families, there was only Bill who occasionally met with his enemy in the meeting room or simply crossed paths with one of them.Occasionally Bill would also engage in conversation with them, and as of now Bill was dealing with two people, one from the Salomon family and the other the Marson family. "Look, it looks like you're getting comfortable in this place." The Marson family member quipped with a dismissive smile. "Did your actions yesterday already make you feel like a hero?" Jonathan frowned, still not understanding Ryan's sudden behavior. He knew the meaning of the object now in his hand. "Dad, what's going on? Why did you give me our family seal?" Jonathan asked with a frown. "Because now you are the owner." Ryan said. "What does that mean?" Jonathan still didn't understand. If power had been transferred, it must not have been for something trivial. Ryan had never talked about this before either. What was going through Ryan's mind was completely out of Jonathan's reach. "My condition does not allow me to continue to be in the company and take care of this family." Ryan held back the pain that throbbed in his chest. "All the problems in the company I can't handle anymore, and neither can this family." "I know you're sick, but haven't you been able to handle it all this time? There's Jeremy who always helps you, right?" Jonathan still demanded further explanation. "Is my old age not enough of an excuse for you?" he asked with a flat look in his eyes.
