There were a few things that would excuse summoning a demonic triceratops-looking dragon. The summoner would truly need to have their back against the wall in order to pull up such a desperate trick out of their sleeve.

It so happens, Fortana's back was put up against the wall. She was hiding in a hole, a couple of feet below the seafloor, and there were nearly two-hundred huge seahorses above her head who wanted to burn her alive! She blew out half of her mana pool capacity, but at least now she was certain that she and her friends would win the battle.

Summoning a Shanakas in this situation was an overkill. It was the most powerful beast that she could summon, and the fact of the matter was that these sea horses were far beneath the demon in terms of power scales.

The demonic dragon pierced through the horde of enemies effortlessly, and killed a quarter of them using only its head, and its tough wings! The team already had an advantage now, even though they were technically in the e

The only thing more terrifying than a two-headed demonic dragon, was a demonic dragon who was restless! It would take a great amount of work to make such a creature restless, and in this case, Fortana, its summoner, had dismissed its behaviour as a demon just being a demon, which was reasonable but she had been dead wrong nonetheless!Dragons were very aware of what was around them, and a demonic one was even more attentive. It had sensed danger before anyone else in the group could have!At some point, it roared desperately, and its roar was impossible to miss despite the sea’s attempts to muffle it! Everyone in the group, including Fortana, were almost scared to death. They felt as if their hearts were going to bounce out of their bodies, and run away!“Brace yourselves!” Skendus yelled out.Being the one who had snuck into the Shanakas’ head, and read its mind, he knew exactly what was coming. He put it upon himself to try everything to keep his friends alive! For that matter, he y

Trouble was brewing two kilometers away from the reef, and it was that kind of trouble that could affect thousands of human lives, rather than just the reef itself. A giant, Luminous Terror Jellyfish was approaching the reef, for the sole purpose of harvesting the mana root farm, and it was willing to risk its own life to get to them!Genta was also willing to risk her life, and the life of everyone around her, because she was unwilling to let go of the roots that she had planted herself, and had put so much effort into. She had not expected to get into such trouble of great proportions, but that fact didn't make her any less stubborn. With hundreds of goblins under her command, she was all the more willing to fight the monstrous jellyfish that no other creature would be dumb enough to fight. Giving up and fleeing was exempted from her frame of mind.“Okay, listen up!” She yelled out. “I have a three… no, four-step plan that'll help us deal with this sucker effectively, if not swiftl

The sea waters were getting colder. The temperature dropped by two more degrees already, in Celsius measurements. Their surroundings have gotten colder that quickly, because the Aqus Goblins had initiated an attack against the Luminous Terror Jellyfish, triggering it to intensify its abilities! It was truly a beast of legends, and the thing was that the jellyfish was also cautious enough to avoid over-using its powers, because it did not want to risk having to float over the thick layer of ice that it could create. The jellyfish wanted to get to the mana roots, without making any sacrifices along the way. The fact of the matter was that it didn't have to sacrifice much to succeed, because it could kill off everything in its path if it got the temperature of the sea down to around -60°C! Down at that temperature, most species would freeze in no time if they were incapable, or stupid enough not to flee, and better yet, the jellyfish would even have at least twenty minutes of wiggle roo

“Fuck you, you bastards!” Gustav yelled out, and thrusted his arm forward, as to shoot a fireball.During his fit of rage, he seemed to have forgotten that there was a transparent shield in front of him, so if he shot a fireball now, then all four members of the team would suffer the consequences! They could get burned into a crisp.Ortana was aware of this, so she dismantled her transparent shield temporarily, thus allowing the fireball to pass through, and hit the amphipteres! Afterwards, she put her shield back up immediately, because in this situation, where they could barely predict what could come next, a shield was the only thing that kept them alive, and from shitting themselves. The fireball roared forward, and hit one of the monsters. Other than getting one of them to flinch, it was fair to say that the fireball was ineffective. Now, they were officially out of ideas. Dealing with an amphiptere was troublesome, especially if they weren’t your friends. Dealing with three of

Gustav became desperate once he came to the realization that he and his friends might not survive. They weren’t only dealing with cold water and ice here, but they were also dealing with temperatures that continued dropping, despite how illogical that may seem. Fire wasn't enough to keep them warm. He unleashed every bit of fire that he could, without having to kill his friends in the process, but they had felt the warmth of the burning fire only for a second, before the temperatures dropped back down to -50°C!Things were not getting better. The only thing that would save them now, was if they escaped this icy trap, and fled. No matter how great a mage one could be, there were little ways to fight such intensive cold temperatures, and live to tell the tale! They had to act quickly. Gustav blasted fire out of every limb that he had, and he even blew a lot of it through his mouth, and just like that, he bought the group the slightest chance to survive. He melted the ice and water that

  • I'm a Stingray?   Chapter 332 - Five-hundred meters long tentacles!

The Luminous Terror Jellyfish was dangerously close to the reef. As of now, it was eighty meters away from it, and it was mere seconds away from meeting with the long wall that the Coral Destroyers have put up. The temperatures as of now had dropped down to -30°C at the front edge of the reef, and this was enough to kill off most species in no time. However, Genta and everyone else around her stood strong! They used fire to keep themselves warm, and were wise enough to know that the jellyfish couldn’t afford to drop the temperatures of the water around it any lower, because it would end up blocking its own path with thick layers of ice. With the current temperature, the jellyfish would have almost an hour of wiggle room to go to the Mana Root farm, and back, without breaking much of a sweat. Its demeanor was much like a floating megatank, and it was confident that nothing could stop it. It had plenty of reasons to believe in its own capabilities, because the two-hundred Aqus Goblins

Once the Luminous Terror Jellyfish was ‘beached’ at the front edge of the reef, the happiness that Genta felt was beyond measure! If joy was a measurable gas, she would've exploded already. Better yet, the jellyfish was stuck, and it was too heavy to move itself on the count that most of its body was already out of the water. It tried to use its hundreds of remaining tentacles to set itself free, but its efforts were futile, as its body was officially too heavy to move without exerting some great effort! The jellyfish blew out more than half of its mana pool while it was airborne, and now, it wasn't keen on wasting the rest of it just to break loose.“Shocked, aren’t ya? Ya big bastard!” Genta shouted, as she beamed back and forth the edge of the reef, cutting off as many tentacles as she could, further immobilizing the jellyfish. “Did you really think I'd give my farm up that easily? You gross bastard!”Genta, and everyone else in her command surely had an advantage now, and they we

“Fire is unity, fire is the peacekeeper, and we seek such peace! We ask the mana gods to bind our fire, and so we shall destroy the great evil that is upon us!” Genta recited. The situation had developed into where they had to use a spoken-word spell, because as it happens, their mere powers alone weren't enough to kill the beast, before it killed everything in a three-kilometer wide radius. They had to be quick!Timothy wasn’t so keen on begging the mana gods, he wasn’t in speaking terms with them. Well, he hadn't begged them in a while. However, the situation they were in required some sacrifice, even though his ego was the only thing that he had to sacrifice in the exchange. He had popped up into the battle scene just a moment ago, but he trusted Genta enough to follow her lead. He torched through all three of them, though, at this point he was also setting the forest on fire, so he wanted to be more careful.“I know what to do,” He smirked.Afterwards, he summoned the Frost Breath ability, and started blowing it at everything around him. He froze the remaining hornets solid within seconds, and the frost even blew over to the trees and bushes that he had set on fire moments ago. Just like that, he got the situation under control seconds before it could have developed into something horrible!Timothy figured that he could've killed the bugs in tens of different ways, but he didn’t want to waste too much mana on them. [-10,000 dark mana points]Timothy considered himself a merciful man, well at least in some hyper-specific situations, however, he wasn’t as merciful towards giant bugs. He wanted them dead, simply because of the damage they could cause if they were allowed to roam free.Bugs were the greatest example that anarchy would intensify if the creatures within the lawless anarchy were strong enough. Giant bugs were quite strong, and on every occasion without discrimination, they'd attack and try to kill everything on their path for no reason at all. They were just violent, and used their large bodies to practice violent acts.Timothy was well aware of their destructive instincts, so today, he wanted to do anything but spare the bugs that he had trapped. The Demonic Tentacle ability that he summoned, had trapped the two giant beetles effortlessly. They could not flee, or even hit the ground without his say-so.Timothy waved his hand, and by doing so, the tentacles picked up on his command alm

  • Chapter 357 - Castle Buttler

Timothy bought the Demonic Tentacles ability without thinking about it twice. However, it would’ve been ideal if he thought this purchase through at first, because in the situation where he added yet another dark ability to his arsenal, his mana pool would change for the worst. In this case, the ability wasn’t too invasive, but it still managed to push the dark side of his mana poop up by two-percent. This meant that the dark side of his mana pool had bounced up to seventeen-percent, taking that exact amount of space in the entirety of his pool. It wasn’t ideal, but it wasn’t the worst thing in the world either. The ability took two hours to implement as well, and it strained his body quite a bit. He didn’t feel any intense pain per se, but he couldn’t move much during these two hours, and was stuck on the chair, and therefore he became quite numb. Two hours into the process, the system beeped, [The Demonic Tentacles ability has been successfully added to your arsenal, and 60,000 s

Timothy was looking at seven new abilities in front of him that were available for purchase. They weren’t exactly new, as they had been available for months now, but today he figured that it was time to buy a couple of them. Two of the abilities were dark ones, and he could remove them as options all together if he wanted to, as the system allowed it, but he wasn’t about to do that. He was intrigued by the abilities, and therefore he started reading further into their details.“A Sarakun, huh?” He mumbled, “I hardly find him useful, system, because based on your description, he’s just a smart ass who happens to have some cool powers. He seems too human, too feeble, and would probably get killed by a couple of fireballs if I dragged him into battle.”[The shape of the Sarakun is one of its advantages. It uses its unsuspecting form as an illusion, to have bigger monsters lower their guard.] She pointed out.“And you just happen to know that?” He asked. “You know system, sometimes I fee

  • Chapter 355 - Timothy Tamalot

Bluntly, Timothy asked, “How many roots do you need? I have a few ones that are a hundred years old.”Arch Mage Cornelius’ eyes widened. He was surprised, and due to his utter desperation, he chose to believe that Timothy wasn’t lying. He hoped that the other wasn’t lying, because a root that old could fix all of his problems that the younger mana roots had failed to fix. For that matter, he quickly answered, “I don’t know how many I need. The last time I dealt with a root that was more than a hundred years old, was when I was a little boy. That being said, I can’t predict the outcome, so as a start, can you possibly give me three of them?”“I’ll give you ten,” He promised. “You better succeed at whatever it is you are trying to do, because I’m throwing what could be almost two hundred kilos of gold away.”The Arch Mage nodded his head like an over-excited chicken, and exclaimed, “Ten are more than enough! I could even become an Arch Magus today with them, sir Tamalot! When can I hav

  • Chapter 354 - Arch Mage Cornelius

Timothy and the team got an audience with the Arch Mages. Well, only one of the Arch Mages was here, as the second one belonged to a different sect, but that didn’t matter, as Tim believed that he could get his point across even if he spoke to only one of them. He intended to be blunt, and very realistic about the matter at hand.Timothy was recognized as the leader of his group, despite being amongst the weakest in terms of mana quality. Initially Garry was asked to meet the Arch Mage, considering that he was an Arch Mage himself, but he refused, and pushed Timothy forward. The loyalty that a literal demon was capable of portraying could teach some very strong lessons to humans, or species of any kind. Anyway, Timothy was led upstairs, at the third story of the building, where the Arch Mage was waiting for him. He met with a middle-aged man, who even seemed too young to achieve such a rank, and this alone gave him hope that they might be able to figure out a plausible plan today.“W

“Watch out!” Timothy shouted.Despite the dangers that were approaching them, the team was fine. The dragons had seen the Ancient Sea Orcs leap out of the water before anyone else did, so they started flying up just a second later! The dragons flew twenty more meters higher in just under two seconds, and left the orcs lagging behind. No matter how big they were, and how much muscle may be backing up the movements of the orcs, they still couldn't make it far above water! They were heavy serpentine creatures, and didn't have wings, so they only leaped forty meters above the water before they started free falling.“That was close,” Ortana sighed. Afterwards, she teased, “Do you still wanna take the fight down there, Gussy?”“Hell nah!” He answered. “That bastard ate one of my lightning bolts up without a problem! Mouth open and all, so they're tough bastards! Too tough.”Timothy listened to what his friends had to say, and he couldn’t help but agree with them. He was shocked that there

“Oh, the bastard is ancient, huh? Is it weak enough for me to kill, system, because I don’t care how old or important he is! The bastard had a jaw like a damn wild boar, so other than being a literal giant, he seems to have the tools to destroy ships. He's our culprit.” Tim spoke to the system, inwardly. For a number of reasons that were quite understandable, he was not happy to see a Sea Orc. The fact that this one was double the size of a normal orc, and had a head that looked like a battering ram, gave him even more reasons to be upset. He wanted to kill this monster immediately, though, he also knew that it was stupid to rush and face a monster that he had never seen before, so he waited for the system's input. She answered, [The Ancient Sea Orc may seem rugged, and dull, but they used to be known for reaching amongst the highest realms of mana quality. In a timeline where this beast isn't even supposed to exist, my guess is that he's an extra tough one. Fighting it wouldn’t be id

  • Chapter 351 - Ancient Sea Orc

A city that depended on seafare to develop its commerce, and economy was a wealthy city. Or at the very least, it was a developing one, who had the capacity to support a large population. However, in a situation where its commerce was abruptly halted, the city would end up being very vulnerable to poverty. Its economy could collapse within itself in just a few weeks, because businesses would either have to spend more gold in order to move and sell their merchandise elsewhere, or they had to sell it at much cheaper prices! Regardless, it was a horrendous situation to face, and it already left thousands of people unemployed. Timothy did not like this at all, because if the City of Fik was vulnerable, the rest of the cities that were further inland, were even more vulnerable, because they also depended on the one, big river that led to the ocean to connect them to the rest of the world. In his eyes, each city within a forty-kilometer radius was worthless now, up until they could eradic
