Within two days, things in Odaria had undergone profound changes.

The first, of course, had been the disappearance of the old ruling class. The complete eradication of the families had left a great void in Odaria's economic system, but the government was quick to seize property and land and thus prevented millions of people from falling into poverty due to unemployment.
