Their faces were contorted into shapes that depicted disappointment, disapproval, annoyance and disdain.

Victor never new any of these guys, apart from some of them that belonged to Rachel's campaign team, but for the ones he knew nothing about, how the hell did they know him?

If these people had known him as the college pauper, that would be a complete destruction of his persona there at The Marquez Piso university.

Or had he already gone rock bottom in the social circle?

As the room fell into a sudden silence, a snarky voice emerged from the crowd, "Rachel, is this your idea of a charity event? Bringing the famous college pauper to your birthday party?"

Laughter erupted, and more voices joined in, mocking Victor's presence. "I didn't know we were hosting a charity case tonight!"

"Maybe he applied to be the mascot so he could earn a few quid for the days meal."

Another wave of laughter rippled amongst the crowd.
