CHAPTER TWENTY
Victor was about to begin but Mr. Jarrod, with a gentle smile, motioned for Victor to pause. "Before we continue, my boy," he said, "how about we indulge in a little something special?" Mr. Jarrod then beckoned one of the room service attendants with a discreet gesture.

A few moments later, the attentive servant returned, bearing a bottle of exquisite red wine on a silver tray.

The label on the bottle read "Château de Luxe Grand Cru 1995," a vintage known for its rich and complex flavors. It was a testament to the luxury that the Grand Furman Hotel had to offer.
