The next day Liya got home early from the hospital after receiving a clean bill of health from her Doctor. She had strict instructions from him not to run for at least two weeks. She was too elated at the new diagnosis to be upset about even a two week delay, for it was better than the six months. Although she thought she slept well, she was exhausted. She hardly listened to Aya who was bragging about the ride home the night before when Jeff sat beside her in her car. It was greatly exaggerated of course. She would never admit that she had been shunned numerous times which she found out from Anna later.

The door swung open just then and Anna marched into the room unannounced waving the campus newspaper, ”Look at this! It’s the third one this month!” She set the paper down in front of the other two. The headline read Third Victim of Sexual Assault.

Liya let out a breath of disbelief, ”Again?”

“Who is it?” Aya cut in.
