Anna limped unto the highway, dragging her bad leg. Her eyes were blinded by the lights of the big rig. She then heard the loud crunch of twigs and leaves as the creature landed on this side of the wall. Terror filled her and she rushed straight into the path of the truck waving her arms and screaming. The powerful noise of the brakes squealing rushed into her brain. The she knew she would die. She closed her eyes and waited for the impact.
