"I am not a kid," Romeo protested, but before he could say another word, the brute's massive hand shot out, shoving Romeo backwards with enough force to send him stumbling.

Caught off guard, Romeo staggered backward, his arms windmilling as he fought to regain his balance.

But before he could steady himself, the brute delivered a powerful headbutt, with the force of the blow slamming into Romeo's forehead with a sickening thud.

Pain exploded behind Romeo's eyes as stars danced in his vision, his world spinning as he stumbled backwards, his feet tangling beneath him.

With a cry of alarm, he flailed wildly, his arms windmilling as he fought to stay upright.

But it was no use. The force of the headbutt had been too much, and Romeo's legs gave out beneath him, sending him crashing to the floor in a heap.

His back hit the cold linoleum with a dull thud, the impact knocking the wind from his lungs as he lay there, stunned and gasping for breath.
