The men began to laugh, it was a low, sinister sound that echoed in the bathroom. Romeo could feel the danger in their laughter, but he kept his cool.

"Oh, I guess you guys are here to aid me in repairing the broken pipes?" Romeo joked, trying to act like he wasn’t scared. He forced a smile, hoping to throw them off.

The men laughed even louder, with their voices filling the room.

"This guy is funny," one of the mafia members said, shaking his head with a smirk. "He looks more shabby than they described him."

They laughed again, mocking him, as their eyes were filled with cruel amusement.

"I’m sorry, my friend." The leader said, with a voice dripping with menace. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a heavy chain, letting it dangle in the air.

The others followed, pulling out chains and sharp jackknives that glinted in the light. "We’re not here to help you fix the pipes. We’re here to beat you up."

Romeo stayed calm, even though he could feel his heart pounding in his chest.
