Early the next morning, Romeo was jogging through the streets, with his worn-out shirt clinging to his back and his old shorts hanging loosely around his waist.

He had been posing as a street urchin, blending in with the crowd as part of his usual plan of knowing the inside things of the state of affairs.

His feet moved in a steady rhythm, and his mind was lost in thought.

Suddenly, he heard a faint buzzing in his ear. His earpiece was vibrating, signaling an incoming call.

He slowed his pace, taking a quick glance around before bringing his hand up to his ear. "Hello, who’s this?" he asked, with a steady voice.

"Romeo, it’s me, Linda," came the soft voice on the other end.

He frowned slightly. "Hey, Linda. What’s up? How are you?"

There was a brief silence, and then he heard her sob. "Romeo, I’m not fine. Nothing is fine," she said, her voice was breaking as she began to cry.

Romeo’s concern deepened. "Come on, Linda, what’s wrong? Why are you crying? Tell me."
