CHAPTER 36

Romeo shook his head. "No!" He said in a breathless whisper. No one except Anna heard it.

Anna clenched her jaw, then looked at her father. "Dad, today is my birthday right?"

"Of course darling."

"And if I am correct I am supposed to do anything that that makes me happy right?"

"Yes."

"When I asked that I am referring to all of you!" She bellowed angrily at the occupants of the table.

"Yes." All of them echoed together.

"Okay, that's nice." She grabbed Romeo and kissed him on his lips.

This caused disappointing glances amongst some of the family members, the rest of the looked at Romeo with disdain and disgust.

Even Anna's parents were put off by the gesture.

"Okay guys, let's dig in, I'm starving." Immediately she began to eat the meal that was presented to her.

Her family members joined her, but they didn't do it with free minds.

While they digged in, enjoying their meals, the Hickey family were engaged in discussions.
