Dexter’s heart sank. “You didn’t tell us you were bringing anyone else.”

Kael’s expression shifted from confident to apprehensive. “I—”

“Enough!” the man interrupted, his voice sharp. “We’re not here for a friendly chat. We’ve been watching you, Kael. You think you can just waltz back into our ranks after what you’ve done?”

Dexter felt a surge of anger and adrenaline. “Back off,” he warned, stepping protectively in front of Kael. “If you think you can intimidate us, you’re mistaken.”

The other man laughed, the sound dark and menacing. “You really think you can stop us? You’re just a bunch of wannabe heroes. We know all about your little guild and your pathetic attempts to take down Dead Skull.”

With that, the tension escalated, and Dexter could sense the imminent danger. He turned to the guild members stationed behind him, their faces a mix of fear and determination.

“Prepare to fight!” Dexter shouted, his heart racing as he drew his weapon. “We can’t let them get the upper hand!”
