The room was dark, save for the harsh light filtering through cracks in the warehouse walls. It was quiet, too quiet, and the tension in the air felt thick, suffocating. Dexter, Charlotte, and Henry followed the man down a narrow hallway toward the back of the building. Each step was deliberate, calculated, as if they were walking into the heart of an unknown danger.
