Looking at his brother with an annoyed expression, Longwei ignored the question and instead said.
"Twin or not, I'm still the older brother so it's only right for you to address me as such."
"I'll call you elder brother when you’re on our deathbed, consider it a parting gift."
Longmin's instant rebuttal caused Longwei to become speechless.
His tone was filled with so much cheekiness you wouldn’t believe he was still smiling all warmly as he said it.
Narrowing his eyes, Longwei locked his gaze with a smiling Longmin. Suddenly, his hand slammed on the chair’s armrest.
Slap! Boom! Whoosh!
The chair he was leisurely sitting on was slapped to pieces, giving him the momentum to leap off the edge of the booth into the air.
The crowd below looked up to see Longwei's dragon-like figure soar across a distance of eighty meters to arrive above the stage. With the sun behind him, everyone could only make out his silhouette.
While still floating in the air from the inertia, Longwei placed his palms together as if he was praying before saying.
"Godly Palm: Replacing The Heavens!"
The runic seal inside of him that was suppressing his cultivation loosened, causing his cultivation base to enter the Foundation Building Realm.
Spiritual Qi flowed from his dantian and circulated through his eight extraordinary meridians to gather in his right palm, which started to glow jade green in color.
He then pushed his palm downwards in a swift motion, a jade green palm print started to descend towards Longmin.
It started small, but as it descended further down, it enlarge to a size that covered 1/3 of the fifty-meter-wide stage.
The palm was extremely detailed as even the palm lines and fingers prints on it were visible.
The disciples down below visions darken as the gigantic palm blotted out the sky, it looked as if had really replaced the heavens.
The ones that were closer to the stage felt an intense and suffocating pressure, and without hesitation started to run away in panic. Some were lucky to reach a far enough distance, but the slow ones got blown away by the strong winds the palm generated while descending.
While the disciples were busy scattering for dear life, Longmin was still sitting in a lotus position on the stage.
With a calm expression he looked at the palm coming closer to him, his white robes were surprisingly motionless as he casually lifted his left arm above his head and extended his delicate, pale white index finger.
The scene of Longmin trying to stop the palm with just a finger looked like a mantis trying to stop a war chariot. With his small frame under that huge palm, anyone would assume that his index finger along with his body would be crushed to pieces.
The disciples that were watching the events play out from the distance widened their eyes in surprise.
They all could tell that Longwei had used an extremely powerful Daoist Magic spell even. Even someone in the mid-stage of the Foundation Building Realm when facing this palm would feel like their walking on a tight rope that was suspended above a thousand-meter-deep pit. One miss-step would lead to their deaths.
But even so, Longmin was trying to stop said Daoist Magic spell with only a finger.
The disciples who were at the mid-stage of the Foundation Realm in the crowd were even more shocked than anyone else, Longmin was only in the early stage of the Foundation Realm!
However, when everyone was expecting the worse, Longmin's seemly weak index finger produced a soft white light while a red runic symbol the size of a pin appeared on the tip of his finger.
These barely noticeable changes caused the almighty palm to come to a complete stop. With Longmin's finger as the center, a red glow started to enshroud the palm causing it to dissipate starting from there.
Looking at the scene unfolding, the disciples, no surprise that it was mostly females, who were heard cheering in excitement.
The mid-stage Foundation Realm disciples on the other hand all collectively sucked in a cold breath of air. They all thought to themselves that their Two Young Masters were too monstrously talented, they were so young but still so strong.
Anyone in the same generation either in the Wu Clan or the outside world would feel helpless when thinking about the insurmountable gap in skill between them and these two demons.
In the crowd, several disciples could be seen with complicated looks on their faces. They were the personal disciples of clan Elders of the four divisions and were considered geniuses in their respective divisions. Even though it was to be celebrated to have such talented Young Masters to follow, as they were young hot-blood and competitive youths around the same age as them, they couldn't help but have some mixed feelings in the end.
Back on the stage, Longmin looked through the dissipating palm at Longwei and said.
"Even though it's a Sky-level Daoist Magic spell, you actually reached Initial Mastery of Grand uncle's Godly Palm.
"Congratulations, twin brother."
Longwei, who was now free-falling down to the stage, had his lips twitched as he heard Longmin's last words. Stifling down some curses, he made a hand seal and then pointed at the dissipating palm.
Three of the palm's fingertips started to glow a dazzling blue light, which was followed by three sharp and piercing Sword Qi flying out at Longmin.
They were really unexpected and extremely fast, between the time Longwei pointed to the time the three Sword Qi reached an inch away from Longmin, only a second had gone by.
The disciples who were still in the midst of their cheering didn't even have the time to register what was happening when the three Sword Qi pierced through Longmin and then the stage below, causing rubble and dust to fill the stage.
The cheering crowd immediately turned to pin-drop silence.
Several breaths later, a shrill scream could be heard from a female disciple, who immediately fainted in disbelief right after.
Everyone looked at the debris-fill stage in a daze. Even though they couldn't tell what had just occurred, they could guess from the flash of blue light and the shock wave that an attack had just been carried out.
In the cloud of dust, they could see the silhouette of Longwei who had landed on the stage.
When they turn to look towards Longmin the only thing they saw was his motionless figure.
Everyone was equally dumbstruck by this development.
The dust in the air began to settle, so they were able to see everything more clearly. And to everyone's surprise, Longwei was currently looking to his left away from Longmin, seeming unconcern about the possibility that his brother could be dead.
The disciples were frightened, they all thought that their Young Master had gone insane.
‘Had he really gotten so angry this time that he killed his brother?'
'But that was too ridiculous, even though the Young Masters always fought over the smallest of things in the clan, it wasn't to the point of wanting to kill each other. They were practically inseparable going by the rumors.'
The disciples soon turn to look in the direction Longwei was looking towards, wanting to see what he found so interesting than his brother's safety.
But what they saw resulted in a few of them becoming slacked-jawed with wide eyes.
About sixty feet away from the stage, the disciple saw another Longmin standing there in his white scholar's robes. However, his refine and scholarly air was gone and his calm smile was replaced by an ice-cold expression. The disciples immediately did a double-take before they turn to look back at where Longmin had been sitting only to see the image of Longmin fading away. They did a triple take as their eyes started to widen in amazement.Longmin had moved so far a distance with such speed that an afterimage was created, thus causing the misconception of him being pierced through by the three Sword Qi."You actually infused Sword Qi into the palm. What if I wasn’t able to dodge in time, what would you have done?!"Longmin yelled while his body started to tremble from anger.Longwei, however, just smiled and nonchalantly said."What are you so angry about? At most you'd only get a scratch.""Bullshit!!"Longwei's words immediately provoked the refined and scholarly Longmin to the poin
When Longwei's hand had come in contact with the illusory Longmin he had felt faint fluctuations of what he thought was Spiritual Sense. But by the time he wanted to dodge, a rune had appeared below his feet trapping him in place.Longwei was a bit skeptical, how could this brother of his use Spiritual Sense when he was only in the Foundation Realm? And the early stage at that! He should be working on developing his Spiritual Strength just like him.Spiritual Sense was something only Core Formation cultivators had, compared to a Foundation cultivator’s Spiritual Strength it's a hundred times better!Spiritual Strength was inferior because unless there was a medium it can't leave the body. For example, a blacksmith at the Foundation Realm can send his Spiritual Strength into a piece of metal and understand its structure to create a better weapon, but even then, his understanding of its inner structure will be blurry and unclear. However, with a Core Formation's Spiritual Sense not only
With a loud thud, Longwei was dropped butt-first onto the stage. He let out a muffled whimper as his sore butt made contact with the reinforced concrete. His face had also turned pale white and a few tears were seen in the corner of his eyes.Crawling up on all four, he gave a hateful stare towards Longmin who in turn just smiles at him apologetically.Suddenly, another voice echoed above the stage."Wei'er, come see me in the Ancestral hall."When Longmin heard that voice a complicated emotion flashed past his blue and gold pupils, but his smiling expression didn't change.Longwei grunted before struggling up fully and walking as a penguin would off the stage. His butt was in excruciating pain. A sort of fire was in his chest at being humiliated by that old fart, but he had nowhere to vent. He could only suck it up.However, Longwei's eyes suddenly landed on a young man that was trying his best to blend in with the crowd. When Longwei came close to the main entrance of the training g
Hearing his son's question, the Patriarch didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Longwei however, just looked at his Father with confusion written all over his face.He really wanted to know the reason because, on the journey back from the Central Continent, his mind was constantly preoccupied with this thought. He had read ancient texts about Legendary Physiques in the Wu Clan's library as he had one as well, and it was said that the requirements needed for a planet to produce someone with a Legendary Physique were very stringent. It was so hard that a planet could go tens of thousands of years without ever having someone born with a Legendary Physique. However, here on planet Daiyu, the weakest of the four planets in the Wither Daemon Realm. There was not only one person with a Legendary Physique but five! And that's not including him!Longwei was right to be confused because a planet that could produce six Legendary Physiques in the same generation is like winning a scratch lottery w
The cultivation system for demonic beasts is different from the cultivation system of humans. Their levels of cultivation range from Rank 1 to Rank 5, with rank 6 beasts being called Greater Demonic Beasts. Each level corresponds to the human cultivation system. So, a rank 1 demonic beast is as powerful as a Qi Gathering stage cultivator. But even though their cultivation system is somewhat different from humans, it still follows the same principles as there are low-tier, mid-tier, high-tier, and peak-tier levels among ranked demonic beasts. The same as someone who is in the 3rd level, 6th level, and 9th level of the Qi Gathering stage is called an early-stage, mid-stage, and late-stage Qi Gathering cultivator. And when a 9th-stage cultivator is ready to break through to the next level, he was called a peak stage Qi Gathering cultivator. On planet Daiyu or the Demonic Beast Continent specifically, the highest-ranked demonic beast is the two Beast Kings of the Fire Phoenix and Ice P
The Central Continent was the biggest continent on planet Daiyu. It was also known as the Xingyun Dynasty governed by the Xingyun Imperial Family, one of the two imperial families on the planet besides the Tang Dynasty on the Tang Continent.Out of all the other continents, it was considered the most powerful and prosperous. From the Emperor and his Ministers down to the commoners in its 8 states, everyone was happily living their lives. This situation where peace reigns throughout the empire were due to the Emperor's strict laws on corruption and violence. He was a man of benevolence who believe that the empire should place the protection of its citizens above all else because without them, there would be no empire to speak of.To demonstrate this fact, he made a clear contrast between the cultivation world and the mortal world. The large sects and clans had gotten a warning that if their conflicts or struggle over cultivation resources ever get the common people involved, then they
"Senior brother Bao, my father is a general under your father his majesty's command. We've known each other since we were little, do I need a reason to visit you?"Li Fang's response caused the Bao to be taken aback for a moment."Well that's true, we could be considered close, but…"Bao eyed Li Fang for a brief second before he continued."…I heard that general Ying's daughter is visiting the palace today. Did junior brother Fang perhaps want to meet with her?"Li Fang was now standing in front of the Bao and looking at the height of the two young men, one could tell that the Bao was half a head taller than Li Fang. After hearing Bao’s question, Li Fang cocked his head over his shoulder and asked."Senior brother, what kind of pills are you concocting? Do you mind if I see one?"Realizing Li Fang was changing the subject, Bao blocked the view of his alchemy lab's entrance and said."Junior brother Fang, I'm not concocting any pills at the moment, it's just a little experiment. Now, d
On the Holy Continent was the famous Chan School.Although they weren't considered the top power on the continent, given the fact that they're the oldest institute on the planet with thousands of years of history, even if the major sects and clans had a hundred guts they wouldn't dare think of going against them. They were able to survive as long as they have while watching hegemon sects and clans, rise and fall. This led people to believe that under their seclusive nature there must be a terrifying force, one that has been building up for thousands of years. It was even rumored that long ago the continent was named by them.It was in the Hundred Mountain Range where the Chan School disciples secluded themselves to focus on their Buddhist doctrines within their three divisions, namely, the Sila Division, Dharma Division, and the Dhyana division. The Sila division disciples mainly focus on learning virtue and self-discipline, while the Dharma division disciples focus on learning and un
