"Wait... Did it just say it can grant me countless talents?" Keith asked himself, his cheeks began to enlarge.
"Yes!" Keith shouted, swinging his arms with his fist clenched. "Yes! I can awaken my talent if I kill three Tier-0 monsters. Awesome!"
'Now, I can wipe off the shame of inferiority and weakness from my clan. But that's only if I kill three Tier-0 monsters. Hmmm.'
Keith thought for a while. Though he was delighted and relieved, but the requirement for his Talent Awakening made him a bit nervous. However, Keith wasn't going to let this opportunity go by. Tier-0 monsters might be the weakest among the others, but still, a single one of them could take down a whole village without stress.
Monsters were known as extremely dangerous creatures that suddenly appeared from nowhere. At first, they were considered as Demons who were being sent by Dark Orcs into the Blue Planet. But later on, the humans discovered that these monsters were only created from the heavens. The Top-tier heavens to be precise.
There were three heavens in existence, these heavens have gods who govern them. The Low-tier heavens are overseen by a group of six gods. However, as the gods of the lowest-tiered heaven, their duty was to keep an eye on the universe, and report cases to the Mid-tier heavens. The Mid-tier heaven's seventeen gods bestow talents to every soul and take care of the universe's condition.
Shamefully, the Top-tier heaven's gods sit and watch the universe. Nonetheless, they were the ones who created the monsters. The humans seemed to have failed humanity, and the Top-tier gods were in preparations to give the glory of humanity to the Specters and Dark Orcs and wipe off humans from the face of the earth.
Actually, they created the Specters and Dark Orcs in the first place, plunging the multiverse into complete chaos.
Monsters are up to ten tiers. The higher the tier, the more brutal it could be. Though only Tier-0 and a little group of Tier-1 monsters could be found in the Menace Forest, but their presence close to the walls only added to the fear of the humans towards the Specters particularly.
The last time a monster penetrated through the walls, a total of 43 Commoners' lives were lost. This was why the Awakened were assigned to protect the walls... Not just because of the attacks of monsters, but also because of the unexpected raids from the Specters.
Until today, after seven years, no one has dared to enter the Menace Forest, but Keith was about to break that record. Three Tier-0 monsters would go down today!
Keith progressed forward and made his way towards the Brexton city's market. Since the previous night, Keith has not filled his stomach. As a poor chap from an impoverished clan, Keith could barely eat regularly. Since he turned sixteen, Keith had been the one to supply his needs, much less his wants.
He recently worked as a farmer in the fruit fields of the Eastern Territory, spending most of the day climbing trees and stuffing fruits for distribution all over Eastern Territory. His daily payment could barely sustain him, but Keith had no other choice. People from weak and inferior clans like his find it hard to secure good and beneficial jobs.
Nonetheless, why would the rich look for jobs?
Keith just has to work as an employed farmer to make ends meet.
Keith approached a bun vendor at the exterior part of the market. He was glad that he wouldn't have to go through the crowd just to find a bun store. Most times it happens like that for a lover of bun like Keith. Somehow, today seemed to be blessed.
"I need five buns... You can add one as a gift for me hehe," Keith said with a playful smile, dipping his hand into his shirt pocket to bring out the five pence he had.
The Blue Planet only has two currencies: Redi and Pence. Fifty Pence makes a Redi. As an inferior coin, pence is mostly used to purchase domestic wants and minor items. Shamefully, Keith couldn't remember when he had a Redi of his own. His pay as a farmer was as cheap as 20 pence daily.
"I'm not giving you any for free... You ordered for five, and I'm just going to give you that," the bun vendor said with a slight smile on her face. Keith frowned.
A bun cost a pence, so five buns was exactly what his money could get. After paying up and receiving what he bought, Keith turned and walked away.
Five half-fist-sized buns weren't enough to fill him up until the next day, but it would sustain him at least.
Keith's aim after eating the buns was to go hunt for the Tier-0 monsters. Since his energy and strength had increased, he was absolutely sure about killing three Tier-0 monsters.
Just as he drank down the very last piece of bun, the Immortal Mage System appeared again.

The system announced and dinged off, leaving Keith speechless and shocked. Just like most system books he had read long ago, the host is notified of his attribute and stat changes. Seeing this happening to him, Keith became more astounded than excited.
"Interesting! I love this..."
Keith yelled in delight and continued his walk. Now, he was heading to nowhere but the Menace Forest.
Soon, suddenly, everyone in the market area began to run... It was as though the monsters in the Menace Forest had attacked. However, Keith doubted those thoughts when he heard no roaring sound. Not a single monster was seen.
The whole market was in commotion, with sellers rushing out from their stores. The sounds of footsteps alone could tell that the situation was severe, much less the screams and alarms that shrouded the atmosphere.
Keith tried to stop some people running past him, but no one was willing to stop or to leave a word. Now, it seems as though this commotion has hit the whole Eastern Territory. The huge and loud sounds Keith heard could tell.
Keith was dazed.
He thought of joining the race, but he halted after a few steps and placed his hands on his waist. "Why am I running like a fool when I don't know the cause of the race? That's ridiculous," Keith cursed.
After those words, he turned east to scan the area only to see his cousin, Sage. With a smile appearing on his face, Keith called:
"Hey, Sage! Come on here."
Before gesturing to her, Sage was already approaching him. She looked worried and exhausted, but still, Keith could sense the urge to run for a thousand miles in her. Just like everyone else.
"What happened, why is everyone running? Did the Specters attack?" Keith asked, worried.
"Nah, not that," Sage paused for a while and continued, "Unfortunately, we lost the Supreme Warlord."
"What?!" Keith screamed in surprise. "That can't be possible... The Supreme Warlord is..." Keith paused after noticing that he was about to say what wasn't true. Sage hesitated a bit and said with that same fearful and serious expression she approached Keith with:"Even though the Supreme Warlord isn't immortal, he is strong enough to defeat death when it comes... This is so unbelievable.""Only immortals can defeat death, stop saying shit, Sage. He must have been murdered or something. Or maybe he was suffering from life-sucking plague," Keith said. Regardless of the unrest and shouts all over the city, Keith was calm and collected. Sage was surprised about this, but she decided to omit his act. Right now, she only wants to go home and shut down all the clan's building doors to ensure her safety and survival of the chaos that might befall the Blue Planet. The Supreme Warlord was the only hope of the humans when it comes to war and safety. He ended the war between the Specters with
ROAR! The Wild Boar jumped high enough to reach Keith's height, pointing its sharp curved claws towards his face. Its blade-like teeth were aimed at Keith's neck with its stumpy legs almost grabbing on Keith's waist to cause him a fall. But before that could occur, Keith was wise enough to dodge the attack. He shifted backward and moved left, swinging the sword towards the face of the monster. He aimed to pull out one of its dark vibrant eyes and decapitate its limbs, but, Keith came to discover that it wasn't possible for a Wild Boar. Wild Boars are the strongest Tier-0 monsters who could sometimes be mistaken for a Tier-1 monster because of its brutal and destructive attacks. It was quite hard for Keith to defeat the terrible creature, but that doesn't mean that he could not kill it. Defeat and kill were two different things for Keith. "If I can't defeat it, I can kill it." The monster pounced on Keith after some moments, trying hard to devour Keith's flesh. However, the f

Sage quickly stood up from the ragged mattress and approached Keith by the window. Staring into the distance, she saw twelve figures approaching the buildings. It was the rest of the family. Keith and Sage smiled. "After staying home alone for three months, my family is finally back," Sage said in delight. Keith looked at her. He frowned slightly and said: "After staying home alone for two years, my family came to visit."Sage glanced at Keith, a look of pity suddenly appeared on her face as she stared at him. Keith had lived alone in the fort for two years since his immediate senior brother, Greg left the fort to work in the ranches. Max left six years ago and his father was a head servant to a Gold-rank Awakened even before he was born. Though being a Commoner never deprived an individual from getting married or doing things that benefits them... They only have to serve the Blue Planet anytime they are called. Keith couldn't recall when last he set his eyes on his father, bu
Everyone standing at that spot stood motionless as Sage said those words. However, the only person who seemed not to be surprised was Keith's father. Instead of producing an outrageous and disappointed grimace, Ryder smiled and placed his right hand upon Keith's left shoulder. "You don't have to be down on yourself boy... Instead, blame the heavens for cursing our innocent soul," Keith's father said with a comforting smile and turned to Max. "We aren't to be blamed for the misery we are facing, instead, we should be proud of ourselves for not staying down after a fall."All eyes were fixed on Ryder as he spoke wholeheartedly, though sad. "Being a Commoner is never and would not be a death sentence. We would work with our might and serve the Blue Planet with all we got, even if it wasn't recognized," Ryder returned his gaze to Keith, "so Keith, don't look down on yourself. Instead, use that diligent influence of yours to serve the human race."Keith hesitated a bit and nodded."Keith,
The system ignored Keith's questions and dimmed off. Keith's eyes widened in surprise. "This jerk... How come you know about women?"Keith was astonished at that moment. However, he knew that servants could be useful for sexual activities, but the truth was that Keith hated those things. Really. He caressed his forehead to calm his brain from popping out, placing the other hand on his waist. After standing for a while, he turned and joined his relatives at the general dining. Just as he walked in, his father slammed in a new topic to discuss. No, it wasn't new, it was the Supreme Warlord's death issue. Truth be told, Keith wanted this kind of conversation. "Now as I speak, the Lords are looking for a new Head Warlord. But it seems that no one could match his power, not even a half," Ryder notified. "Of course, no one will. No one can match the power of a Demigod," Max said. "Demigod?""Demigod?""What do you mean Max?" Ryder questioned. "It's obvious that he was a Demigod. De
"Gosh! This system is crazy," Keith's complained.Somehow, Keith's happiness suddenly died off. The Immortal Mage System had ordered him to complete his current mission within two days, however, that only wiped out the giggles off his cheeks. Of course, killing ten Tier-0 monsters wasn't much of a deadly thing to do, but, the other mission was what quenched his urge to complete the mission.Keith was not in the power to order a servant of his choice... It was the duty of the territory's posting officials. So, if it turns out that his servant would be a boy or an old woman... Uh! That would be total shit.Though Keith didn't pray for such. With a sad mood and a confused countenance, Keith lay on his mattress. Jerks like him sleep not quite long after setting their backs on a mattress, so he slept off in a matter of seconds.******In a dark building clogged with the dreadful and cruel aura of some phantom-like creature, one of them, a stronger figure with the same physique sat on a
Before Keith could know it, Jake was already creating two fireballs from his palms. The others watched with confidence, believing that Jake was going to beat Keith to stupor. However, Keith only studied his moves and tried to create his own skills. String of thunder! There was no doubt that fireballs are 1-star skill so Keith was relieved because his current skill was the same as that of Jake. Though he didn't guarantee his win, he knew that he had an equal chance of winning just like Jake. Jake charged towards Keith with the whooshing fireballs on his palms. His speed was utterly incredible, though, it never stopped Keith from dodging the attack. Just as Keith dodged, he scowled and blinked his eyes. ——————————[Do you want to activate your skill: String of thunder?]. ——————————"Yes," Keith requested. ——————————[String of thunder activated]. ——————————Suddenly, lightning with a blue hue, like the structure of a tiny string, emerged from Keith's palm.
