Ch 4: First Mission Is To Escort!

Hmm, should I ask them about my test? I don't know what rank I would get according to this world standard. In the immortal realm, I was the strongest. But I think I should be equal to an SS rank adventurer. If that is true I will have to hide my power to at least get an A-rank. 

"Excuse me, what about my test for registration? I haven't given my test. Could you take my test?"

"N....no need. You don't need to take the test. You seem fit for the A rank."

"But you said that we need to take this test. You may be worried that you will hurt me but I am ready to even die while fighting, so please give me a chance."

"Damm! I want to avoid him but he wants to fight. From the moment he entered I was trembling in fear from his aura. It is not even a killing intent, this level of the aura is equal to that of a Hero or a Saint. I was keeping a strong front. But now that he has come so closer...Mamma, I want to go home." 

These are Adam's inner thoughts. He was so frightened that he can't even move anymore. He was feeling like a dangerous monster was standing in front of him and it would ear him any moment.

"Ok....you want to get a rank right? So listen here is an escort mission for you. If you complete it we will declare you A-rank. We were finding people to do this escort mission, you and your partner are pretty good so you can join this." 

Adam says after thinking for a while.

"Ah, that sounds good. This will be easier than fighting." Good now I won't have to expose my strength and I never escorted someone so it will be a new experience for me.

Now let's see how Aria is doing? That technique tires a person's body if practised for the first time.

"Aria how is your body? Is it okay?"

"Wah, I am so happy. I was finally able to use the sword properly. But what is this sword style and was that magic you used to transfer the technique inside my brain?"

"Knight? You belittle yourself too much. With your mana and this technique peak form, you will be even able to defeat Gods."

"Jeez, sometimes you say so confusing things that my head start spinning. Since you have got the mission let's go to the escort team who are waiting in Amano Kingdom. It will take us at least ten days to reach there, so we have to hurry up."

"Hmmm, ok let's go there at once. Hold my hand tightly."

Lei and Aria get teleported to Amano Kingdom. The cities there were quite different from the previous city Deleria. The people were rather looking unfriendly. Instead of big buildings, there were mostly markets and shops. And the city people were rather busy advertising their goods. But the unique thing about it was that all buildings there resembled  Ancient Japanese Culture.

"Lei next time you do something like this please inform me first. I feel so dizzy."

"Oh, I just didn't want to waste any time that's why I used this method. I seldomly use this method. Anyway, let's go to meet our client first."

As they were walking down the streets to search for the place where they had to go to meet their client, a middle-aged muscular man with shaved beard, hanging a big sword behind his back, looking rather handsome comes towards them with a smile and taps on Lei's back.

"Heya, I am Ryujin Takahashi you brats are going to help us with our escort duty. Don't worry about any danger I will protect you all I promise but don't let the client get in any kind of harm."

"We will be in your care then", Aria looks towards the man and replies with a smile.

"Strange this brat with the girl is not normal at all. I carelessly used half of my strength in that tap. A normal person would be knocked out from that. But that brat didn't even budge a little. Moreover the feeling I was getting by standing in front of him was dangerous."

Hmm this man is not bad, he's strength equals to that of Emperor Realm cultivator. If he would have been in Tianwu Continent he would have become a renowned character.

Lei seldomly admires someone; so for him to admire Ryujin meant that he was one of the strongest humans in the world of Eldealam.

As Lei and Aria were lost admiring the city a boy calls both of them and tell them to follow him.

He looked somewhat different from the ordinary people in Eldealam and his aura was same as Lei. And his clothes were also not of this world.

"Umm so where are you taking us?" 

Aria asks with curiosity.

"You will know soon Princess Aria of Vreovia Kingdom."

This alerts Lei, he pulls his sword and in a lightning speed and points towards the boy.

"Calm down there for a sec. I have no ill intention. Let's keep on moving."

Lei withdraws his sword and they again keep on walking until they reach their destination. 

"Here we are. Now then before I show you the client you have to protect; I will test your strength. Block my one move and I will let you go. Princess Aria need not take part in this. Let me introduce first I am Aiko Kirihara."

The boy takes them to an arena, where several guards and healers were deployed to help the injured in case anyone gets hurt during a fight. The arena was also designed according to Japanese style.

"Interesting so you want to test us? Well I have no offence with that. I will take on your challenge."

"Lei do we have to resort to such violence."

"What are you afraid of Aria? It's just a simple duel. Don't worry I will not destroy their place."

"Oh! so confident in your strength? Then let me show you my strength."

In a moment the whole arena's atmosphere changes. Many people starts gathering  to see their fight. Though nobody informed the people but they somehow got news about the fight.

"Hahaha! Hey someone is actually challenging our kingdom hero."

"I can't wait for that arrogant boy to get destroyed."

"We love you Aiko our hero!"

Different kinds of coment started pouring out from the spectators. A normal person would have gotten irritated and would have lost his cool but Lei was different; no kimd of insults can ever disturb Lei's mind.

"Should we start? Should I give you hadicap?"

"No need for that I want you to go all out."

"You think you can handle my full strength?"

"Give it a try." 

Lei saya with a smile on his face. For some reason instead of being irritated Lei feels excited for the duel. But for Aiko he was angry by the tuants of Lei and so he decided to go all out from beginning.

"Swift as wind, dark as night[Black Edge]."

Aiko realeases a massive dark energy from his sword that causes tremors in arena.

"Break!"

Lei stops the energy from his bare hands as if it was nothing for him.

"Hmm, going all out from beginning? I will also not hold back then."

"Aria I am going to show you the final form of "Thunder Dragon Sword Style"."

"Nineth form[Thunder Dragon Heavy Steps]."

Small sparks of lightning starts apperaing around Lei and then Lei starts moving. 

As he starts walking, the gravity in the arena increases and electricity starts flowing on the floor of the arena.

"First step"

The floor starts breaking.

"Second step"

Magic arrays start appearing above the arena that starts shooting massive lightning strikes like a cannon. Aiko somehow manages to evade most of them but still was injured and paralysed.

"Third step"

A blue dragon shadow appears behind Lei which was going to blow Aiko away but suddenly a girl comes in between them. Seeing her he stops his attacks.

"I apologize for my foolishness. I don't know how but I lost control of myself there for a moment."

Strange just now someone tried to manipulate my mind and I didn't notice it? Due to that person my defense mechanism activated.

"No I apologize for this nuisance. I told my subordinate to not do it. But she tried to control you and that's why you lost control."

A girl in her teens with shiny black hairs wearing an expensive attire bows towards Lei.
