In Game: Survive or Be Killed

8: ATTACK

Ashtria together with the siblings is now walking in a small town that is still part of the Triadrial Kingdom. It is a place where middle commoners live, with big and small houses made of bricks. Ashtria was just following Lucas who was leading the way for them to escape the kingdom and go towards the Xenthral Kingdom. 

Women who wear such stunning dresses with their bodyguards on their sides to protect them. There are still wanted posters around the area about Ashtria and instead of using cloaks to hide her identity, Lucas gives her a mask to cover half of her face. 

The three of them were now walking and suddenly a heavy rain and strong wind came in making them stop walking and decided to stay in the town for one night. They found a cheap hotel to stay in and pick one room. The room is good for two persons only and one table

"It's nice," Lucas's sister said and jump off the bed. "You should rest too, miss Ashtria," she added and looks at Ashtria with her angelic face. 

"You both can sleep in the bed, don't worry about me," Lucas said and quickly get on the sofa. His sister just shrugged her shoulders and started to lay down on the bed. 

"Why? miss Ashtria and I can share the bed and you can sleep on the other bed," his sister said and was waiting for Lucas's answer but all she got was a silent response. She get up and saw her brother sleeping on the couch with his arms covering his face. 

Ashtria on the other hand takes off her mask and put it on the table together with her two swords and her cloak. She takes off her hair tie from her hair and gets ready to sleep. "It's already nighttime, we need to sleep early," she said and started to lay down on the bed. She started to stare at the ceiling when Lucas's brother speaks out of nowhere. 

"I still haven't introduced myself, don't I? " she said and looks at Ashtria. "I am Sanya by the way, miss," she added and give her another smile again. 

"Why do you keep on smiling?" Ashtria ask her which made Sanya surprised. She just keeps on staring at Ashtria and thinks by looking at the ceiling as well. 

"It is because in my dreams there is this woman who always reminds me to smile no matter how life hard is. I kinda think that woman might be our mother telling us to be strong," Sanya explained and smile widely looking at the ceiling. Ashtria moves her eyes toward Sanya who was looking at the ceiling without moving her head. 

She just didn't respond any longer. She remembers what her mother and father have said. Ashtria just let out a heavy sigh and slowly closes her eyes as she sees Sanya was already sleeping. 

The day has come and the three of them woke up with the rain still falling from the sky. Ashtria takes a bath after Lucas bought other clothes for them in the town, after they take a bath and change clothes, they now begin their journey. 

They are now walking to get out of the place when Ashtria and Lucas halted after sensing someone was coming toward them. A guy running faster than a normal human could Ashtria's eyes widened and look at her left side. She quickly throws the umbrella she's holding and takes her two swords when a guy suddenly appeared in front of her holding a black poison dagger. 

Ashtria was pushed at the wall looking at the man while gritting her teeth. "I finally found you, wearing a mask, huh? Your smell can't hide," the guy said and licks his lips looking at Ashtria. She quickly twisted her body and kicks the guy's face which made him roll on the ground with his eyes widen. 

"Let's get out of here quickly!" Lucas shouted and started to run. Ashtria and Sanya followed where his feet go, while Sanya was running she takes her bow and an arrow. 

Sanya was now running backward and trying to hit the guy using two arrows. "You can hit him with two arrows at the same time?" Ashtria was surprised to see Sanya using a bow and two arrows releasing them toward the guy. 

"A little bit," Sanya responded and smirk after seeing even one arrow hit the guy's leg. "The arrow had poison, it will make him slower," she added and started running normally. 

They simply keep running until they reach the forest. However, another two people stand in their way. One girl and one guy, the girl holding a katana and staring coldly into Ashtria's eyes. The other guy with the muscular body holding two scythes and staring at Lucas.

Sanya take the sword she was holding and gave it to her brother. "Your sword," Sanya muttered and Lucas quickly accepted it. He takes the sword from its cover. Ashtria saw the stunning sword in Lucas's hands and looks like it is still brand new. She stared at it and it seems it is very familiar to her, she just shook her head and stared at the girl. 

"Came from the Creshtian Kingdom?" Ashtria ask and the guy just laugh and responded 'yes.' "How many golds did he give to the three of you?" she added seriously looking at the girl whom she caught on staring at her as well.

The girl slowly takes her katana out from her waist and runs quickly toward Ashtria making her take her two swords as well and defend herself from the girl's attack. "Don't be a stubborn, hime-sama," the girl said and step backward when Ashtria began to push her back. 

"I know you, you're once my father's loyal guard. A half Archanian and half Subreinian," Ashtria said pointing her one sword at the girl. "You'll be the first victim," she said and the girl just keep on staring at her. 

The guy that Sanya shot a poisoned arrow was walking toward them gasping for air but still keeping his cool. "You d*mn brat, I'll make sure to punish you," he said smirking looking at Sanya. Lucas immediately hides his sister from his back protecting her. 

They are now surrounded by the three professional assassins of the Creshtian Kingdom. Ashtria still pointing her sword toward the girl staring at her without blinking. Now, they needed to pass the three assassins for them to be able to get out of the Triadrial Kingdom but they didn't know, there are still many people who is approaching slowly towards their location.
