Promises should not be broken !

In the past one month I have been training, cultivating and learning magical spells, breathing techniques and much more just for one single reason, to be allowed to atleast hunt beasts roaming in the nearby forests outside the city.

I first hand decided to learn magic spells, so that I will have something other than my skills and weapon arts. My mother gave me various fire element spells along with lightning spells and at least for now I decided to learn only these two elements spell because of my quest.

According to my quest I have to create 2 new stigmas. I don't even know how to create a spell and the system is asking me to create a stigma but instead of panicking I decided to start.

I decided to learn this elements spells because at least according to Uriel the system is asking me to create a {bloodline trait} stigma because only these two traits don't have any stigma, by using this elemental spells I can increase my understanding as well as will over this elements. The reason why I decided to first create stigmas is because I thought that if I knew how to create a parent, creating a child will be simple.

But my learning and using of only spells and skills somehow annoyed Julia. That's why she decided to teach me how to use Qi. Qi is special energy because according to Uriel I can't use this energy spiritual and can only be use physically because of this energies main requirement– Life force.

This energy was quite hard at start and took around 3 days and nights just to feel but once I got the understanding of how to use this energy it became easier.

It's the same as the spiritual veins which I can create using skills and stigma. But instead of creating new veins through CS it lets the World energy merge with my blood veins through breathing.

She taught me Ocean breathing, this is a advance breathing derived from water breathing and is used with katana or less weighing swords.

Their are in total 14 forms of Ocean Breathing and I have learnt upto 7 because the further forms required Higher Qi points.

It seems like the option and possibilities for Qi techniques is limited but it is not.

Just like mana Users have magic tiers, Qi users have points and this points are divided by 1st being the lowest and 12th being the highest.

I am currently at Qi point 2nd because unlike the other two energies which requires cultivation, Qi requires more usages.

And yes even though I have CS as my energy I still have to cultivate the magic cultivation and Dao cultivation. Mana being nearest to the spiritual body helps me increase my CS stat but compared to normal mana users it's growth is slow, this is one of the reasons why I want to level up and fast.

Qi's more usage trains my all other stats including health while Dao cultivation helps me increase my world affinity to be precise and currently I have been cultivating lightning and fire.

" I created a shadow dagger, a kunai to be precise and spended my whole mana and lightning intent in a teir 2 spell lightning passage. In short, I gamble by spending all my energy into that single attack." I didn't tell them that it was possible because of the limitlessness of my shadow.

Julia was shocked and the only thing she could think of was,' Young master Lucas, surely grew fast. Instead of learning everything and wasting his time, he only learnt what is going to be required for his survival and offence alongside defence, agility. At the same time he created as many cards as possible for his use. ' 

" The winner of this dual is Young lord Lucas, as he was able damage Julia. That's why young master Lucas passed the test." Lily was the first to break the awkward silence as both my mother and Julia were still in daze.

When they heard Lily's voice they both broke free from their nirvana and came towards me as fast as they can.

" Lucy, are you injured anywhere ?" my mother asked while checking my body from head to toe with worried expression.

" I-I am sorry..." Julia was saying when I said with a calm tone.

" I am fine, I am fine but now that I cleared the test shouldn't I be allowed to go outside." when I said that both the womans flinched and tried avert their gazes but.....

" Promises should not be broken~" I said with a expressionless cold face.

Seeing my cold expressionless face and my glowing blues, Athanasia tried to replied:

" I-I never s-said I am going to allow you if you completed the test, I said if it was satisfactory–" 

" Then does that mean my dual wasn't satisfactory." I interrupted her with a my face becoming colder and colder in each passing seconds.

" Oh, thanks mother for telling me my non-stop training of one month was completely useless..."

Athanasia's face had a clearly noticable sad expression while looking at me with her eyes wide open.

" I guess I should push my body to it's very limits to the point not even a teir 5 healing spell could–"

" OKAY, Okay I agree I agree so please don't do anything." After saying that a sigh escaped her lips, after all she knew how stubborn her son can be if something does not go according to him.

' I guess you have gotten this habit from your father but atleast you are stubborn to the very end, unlike him who just gave up on me....' she thought to herself.

When she agreed I was going to jump with excitement but when I noticed her sad expression I simply shaked my head and hugged her with my arms around her neck as she was kneeling the whole time to check me.

" Don't worry mother, I know how much of a worrywart you are and it's not like I hate it. I just want to see the world and how it is, I want this world to accept me as Lucas de Zechs not as the son of Warlord Athanasia. And besides even if I went to the end of the world I will still return to the Zechs mansion at the end of day." When I said that my mother smiled but when she heard my last sentence, her face froze.

' You will return.... For now.....' she alongside Julia and Lily thought to their self.

" Alright fine, as long as you are not hurt it's fine.... I guess." She said as if not believing her own words at all.

It was already noon, I decided to take a cool shower as I was sweaty from the duel from earlier.

'haah, finally some relaxation...' I sighed.

' Well, I guess you will be finally able to level up.' Uriel said with excitement.

Level up, a concept which was created for me to grow stronger without any restraint. In this world their are various ways to grow stronger but all of them have limits or side-effects and even if you got lucky enough to avoid this them, their are which can only be obtained through system.

But the reason why Uriel was so happy is something totally unrelated to the perks of leveling system. As Uriel is one of the most ancient beings may be ancient enough to be born before this universe for her the knowledge and supernatural abilities which are exciting to me are just play things. That's why most of the time she is tinkering with the system and want to know more about it even though she is it's mother.

' Now that I think about it aren't you kind of the system's mother ?' I asked as a glint of curiosity flashed in my already glowing eyes.

' Yes, but if you know about the mythologies of god's and every fruit is different while some are delicious their are also some spoiled, bitter and nasty.' she said in narcissistic tone.

I understood what she was saying, ' Some childrens are obedient and faithful, some are naughty to the point they won't even look forward or backward to backstab their own mother.'

'... But still at the end of the day they are still fruit of the same tree and that tree will never compare them.' she as if remembering something of her past.

' See, my mother was a thrashy person so I don't know much about your feelings.... WAIT!? Didn't you say you were a virgin. How in the hell did you had a child!? ' I asked, bewildered.

To which she lazily said,' That's not something important. At least not now. I currently only have this child called system in front of me and for our child parent bonding you should go out their and hunt, hurmph!!' She snorted like a little girl trying to prove her point while showing her annoyance who didn't get it.

' Well, I should also get back to my son mother bonding.' 

As I said this I prepared myself rinsing my water with towel and putting a black trousers with what seemed like a blue hoddie without a cap.

I went down in a dinning room which had a oversized table with more than 20 chairs including both sides. My mother was sitting in a majestic chair made by blue embroidery with some unique flame like design. The chair seemed more like a throne as it was a few inches taller from my mother's head.

' Is it normal to show your wealth like this...'

' Well, the stronger you grow the arrogant you become and that chair is thing of aesthetics.'

' That means I can also do things according to my aesthetics.... Sweeeet !!' 

While I was having this conversation Julia prepared a plate for me. She alongside Lily was standing behind my mother left and right respectively. The people of this world are pretty simple minded and do whatever to please them. This also shows the powerful you are the freedom you have.

" So, mother you are not thinking of breaking your promise now are you."

I said with a calm voice while eating some special beef which was tender and juicy but if eaten by a jobless person will surely make their glands hurt, as I sat on the left chair adjacent to my mother's. Her face was drenched with sweat as she was stiffly moving her face towards right to avoid my gaze.

" O - Of course not " She said with her movements still stiff, not agreeing with the words I said but also not declining it.

' haah, It's good that I thought of some plan to make her agree without hurting her.'
