Incredible Actor Nicholas Shane

System Activated

Nicholas drowned in the sea and died.

Suddenly, There was a loud vibration in the water, the vibration shook the whole of the sea. Nicholas opened his eyes immediately, he thought he was drowning but surprisingly he was breathing fine under water, floating. 

'What's happening?' Nicholas thought. 

He can't swim so how is he floating ,and secondly he is breathing without an oxygen tank! 

"Oh surely I'm dead, what is this? Heaven?" He closed his eyes back but opened it immediately. 

"Mhm?" 

Due to the coldness of the water, Nicholas knew he was in the deep, deep, depth of the sea. 

"Is this my spirit?, my ghost?" He pinched himself severally, he felt no pain! 

"Yes, I'm dead" He lies to allow himself to drown. 

[Host detected... System activated] 

"What was that?" 

"Who's here? Who is speaking?, mermaids? Sharks" He hugged himself frightened. 

"Jeez, I watch too many horror movies, Sharks can't speak" He assured himself. 

A beeping sound was heard. "What's that? What's happening?" 

The beeping sound continued and stopped. 

[System awoke... Nicholas Shane has awoken the system... New host detected… Nicholas Shane, you have been chosen...] 

"Who are you? And how do you know my name? huh? what system are you talking about?" Nicholas yelled. 

[Host, please stretch out your right hand for fingerprint authentication] 

"Are you kidding me?" He scoffed at the voice. 

[Host 101, Stretch out your right hand] The system said, this time louder. 

Nicholas had mixed reactions but he did it anyway, he stretched out his right hand, he felt water flowing into his right hand. 

This is strange. 

Nicholas felt different, he felt more powerful, he moved his right hand, water flowed to the direction of his hand. 

He moved the hand to another direction, water followed it. 

"Wow, this feels unreal" He was stunned. 

[Fingerprint stored, activation begins] 

[95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100]

[Activation completes] 

[Listen Actor Nicholas Shane, you have been selected to perform some tasks.] 

"Nah, nooo, no, that's a big mistake. I'm a useless jerk, I have no one, I have no strength as a normal man should, look at my hair, it's blonde. In short, I'm a weakling!" Nicholas lamented. 

"You should choose someone else, please. I'm not fit for the job, my girlfriend plotted with my boss to kill me. She was the only person I have" 

[Are you done ranting?Now listen to me. You awoken the system and it has chosen you] 

"I can't do anything!" 

[Then you die] 

Nicholas was quiet for a while. "I will die?" 

[Yes, you are actually dead but the system brought you back to life...] 

"Oh!" Nicholas shouted. 

"That's why I can breathe underwater" 

[Yes, that's why...]

Nicholas cuts in again "Wow, this is amazing so I died?" 

[Will you listen to me! By the way, what's amazing?, your death or what] 

"Those bastards did killed me, I'm all ears tell me what I need to do on this borrowed life" 

[You will be used by the system,In return, you will be given a second chance, a second life. You will be famous, well skilled, respected and most successful actor in your entertainment industry] 

"Really?" Nicholas asked. 

"Is it possible?" 

[Yes, some tasks will be given to you, which will prepare and train you for the mission ahead] 

"Will I be going to the gym, I hate the gym" He stated with irritation. 

[ Which is obviously why you are like an old woman broomstick, so thin, malnourished. How did your girlfriend cope with you? Must have been headache] 

"Shut it!" Nicholas yelled at the system. 

Then, water flushed into Nicholas's body , his spirit came out of his body, Nicholas spirit saw his dead body drowning. 

"No, no, please help, do something" His spirit cried out scared. 

"I'm drifting away, please help me" Nicholas' spirit was in tears. 

Suddenly a force came in and Nicholas's body floated up, his spirit went inside his body. 

He opened his eyes. 

"I'm alive" He whispered. 

[Welcome back, Mr. Nicholas Shane, can you see whom your life depends on now? Are you ready for the mission] 

"Yes"

[Like I said earlier whenever you accomplished those tasks, more life battery, fame and skills] 

"Life battery?" 

[Yes, you are on life battery, till you accomplish the mission then you are free like a normal human. But, before then, make sure your life battery doesn't run out or you die permanently. Even I cannot do anything about it] 

Nicholas shivered after hearing that statement. 

"So, where is the life battery, how will I know if it's almost running down?" 

[You will know, you will see it. If it's 15%, it's red, too low. 

So you have to recharge. And mind you, you will only get a life battery when you accomplish a task, if not. No life battery and you die] 

Nicholas felt unworthy of carrying the mission, especially a weakling, loser, and failure like him. What can he do?How do he do it?. 

"Where is the life battery?" 

{It will be given to you when you accomplish your tasks not here] 

"Okay "

[Don't forget if you run out of your life battery ,you die ] The system repeated in a fade voice and disappeared.

"I know ,I will try not to ,so what next,I'm still in the water?" Nicholas asked but there was no reply.

"Hello? Are you still here ? ,hey"He waved his hands .

"Mr. System ?" 

"Answer me!" He clenched his fist.

 Suddenly, he felt weak . His eye lids were closing ,and gradually he couldn't move or speak.

 Eventually he lost consciousness.
