"I... is that not Oliver?" Zelda was about to hail a cab when she shivered from shock. Even though she couldn’t see the driver’s face clearly, she was pretty sure it was Oliver.
Speaking of Oliver, she felt guilty thinking about her argument with him. Without giving it a second thought, she picked up her phone and decided to call him.
The cab driver honked at Zelda and asked, "Miss, why haven’t you sat down yet?"
"What am I even thinking?" It probably can’t be Oliver. As she got into the cab, she said.
After buying a set of new clothes, Oliver drove to Twyla Villa Center. Twyla Villa had the best villas in Boston Hills; he couldn't always stay in a hotel, so he drove there with the goal of purchasing a villa.
Seeing the new Audi car, the security guard did not waste time allowing him in.
He drove to the parking lot and parked his car.
"Hello, I'm here to buy a villa. Which one is available?" Oliver asked
A saleslady who was dressed in a white office suit and a young man following her stepped forward and said with a smile, "Sir, you’re welcome to Twyla Villa Centre; our villas are classified into three types." The saleswoman continued to explain,
"We have the third-class villa, where you can get villas ranging from 1 million to 3 million dollars, and with the second-class villa, it ranges from 4 million to 6 million dollars."
"With our first-class villa, it ranges from 7 million dollars and upwards."
Oliver nodded after the saleslady explained everything to him.
"Do you have a magazine containing pictures of all the villas?"
The young man who was behind the saleslady stepped forward and handed a book to Oliver. "Sir, this book has pictures of all the available villas."
After flipping through the pages, he pointed at a picture and said, "This villa looks nicer; I want that one!"
The saleswoman stared at Oliver with her eyes wide open; not only she, but also the young man behind her were taken aback by the image Oliver pointed to.
Oliver was perplexed by their expressions."I only pointed to the kind of villa I want to buy; what’s up with this expression?"
"Sir, the villa you’re interested in is a first-class villa and also the most expensive among all the villas, with a cost of 15 million dollars."
They both were shocked because Oliver had pointed to the most expensive villa. Judging from Oliver’s appearance and the fact that he was driving an Audi, they expected him to choose the lowest type of villa, which was a million dollars.
"I saw the price written below it; that’s why I chose that one!" Oliver replied.
He was pretty sure the saleslady and the man behind him thought he couldn't afford the villa, but he didn't care because 15 million dollars wasn't a big deal in his eyes right now.
"Sir, as I said earlier, the one you chose is the biggest villa left here, and it costs 15 million dollars."
Even if she were killed, she wouldn’t believe that Oliver would be able to buy the villa, which nobody has been able to buy for months now.
"I am ready to buy it, so what’s your problem?"
"Gentleman, what evidence do you have that you can even afford to buy the cheapest villa, let alone the most expensive?"Angrily, the young man with the saleswoman inquired.
He was pretty sure that Oliver was just pretending because he was driving an Audi.
Oliver lost his temper hearing the salesman’s words, "Do you want me to make a report to your boss?"
"You don't have to, because I'm calling my boss! "The saleslady said as she picked her phone and called her boss, explaining the whole issue.
After 10 minutes, a Chevrolet Camaro parked in front of the Villa Center, and a lady around 28 alighted from it and walked inside.
"Woo!"
Seeing the beautiful lady, Oliver was taken aback. She looked stunning in a light blue summer top and skirt and light lipstick. Her perfect curve wasn’t something to be ignored.
The beautiful lady was Logan Cohen; she was the owner of Twyla Villa’s.
Seeing Logan, the two took a step forward and greeted her respectfully.
Oliver was taken aback when he realized the young, beautiful lady in front of him was Twyla's boss.
"Ms. Logan, he is the one saying he wanted to purchase the first-class 15-million villa!"
The saleswoman pointed to Oliver.
Logan turned to Oliver and asked, "Sir, I heard you say you want to purchase Twyla’s first-class villa; is that true?"
Oliver did not answer her question but rather took a card from his pocket and handed it to Logan.
"Swipe it!" He spoke shortly.
Taking a look at his card, Logan frowned. The saleslady and the young salesman who followed her tried to control their laughter.
"This is just a normal bank card; its average limit is only $300,000.""Just swipe it!" He replied shortly. What they didn’t know was that, even though the limit for a daily transaction was $100,000, he was the bank’s VIP, so his card was unblocked, making his spending limit unlimited."Why do I feel that he’s so mysterious?" Logan thought as she handed the card to the saleslady asking her to swipe it.Even though the saleslady was furious at Oliver at that moment, she dared not show it in front of Logan. She took the card and swiped it. After that, Oliver entered his password.Logan didn’t bother to check the machine because she was sure the card was going to be rejected."Ping! Ping!"The machine beeped twice, indicating that there had been a successful transaction.Logan, like the saleslady and salesman, was taken aback.Even though she never looked down on Oliver, she didn’t believe that the ordinary card in Oliver’s hand had 15 million dollars in it.The saleslady who couldn’t be
Tears streamed down Zelda’s face. "There’s no need for me to live since you hate me this much." "Mr. Storm, is everything alright?""I just had a little issue with my wife, sorry for the disturbance," Oliver replied.Logan smiled and said, "There's a party tonight around 8 p.m. at my place; I wonder if Mr. Storm would love to join?" After giving it some thought, Oliver nodded and said, "I have nothing to do this night, so I'll surely join you.""That's great, then would you want me to pick you up?" She questioned."Then I'll bother you once more.""Mr. Storm, there's no need to be polite."After exchanging contacts with Oliver, Logan left. Oliver, who was now alone in his big villa, wanted to call Zelda to apologize for his rude behavior and also tell her about the money he had gotten, but thinking that she was at fault, he stopped."There's no need to tell Zelda or my mother-in-law about my sudden wealth."At 7:30 p.m., a blue Chevrolet Camaro was parked near the villa. The beauti
"I can bring some for you some other time."Oliver nodded as the two walked into the villa.Getting into the villa, Oliver realized there were about five neatly dressed ladies and two neatly dressed guys. When they all saw Logan enter with a guy following her, they turned to look at each other in shock.Logan, whom they knew for a long time, never entertains the opposite sex, so how come he walked in with a guy? When Logan told them she was going to pick up someone, they expected the person to be a lady, not a guy.Nora Steward, who was among the ladies, walked towards Logan and asked, "Logan, who's he?" "Nora, he's Oliver Storm, my friend." "Friend?" They all questioned at once. They were all shocked because most of them had tried to befriend Logan, but it was to no avail; they could say Nora was their friend, but something couldn't be said for Logan.Logan turned to Oliver and said, "Mr. Storm, she's my best friend, Nora Steward, and they're her friends.""Once a year, we have a p
"How about we all donate an amount to Logan and Nora to show our appreciation?" "The amount shouldn't be less than 10,000 bucks Jace said."The rest nodded and said, "Yes, this is the best way to thank Nora and Logan for the love they've shown to us."In reality, Jace actually brought up this idea just to intimidate Oliver. Since he said he wasn't working, it meant he would not be able to afford that amount.Even though they themselves weren't as rich as Logan or Nora, 10,000 bucks wasn't anything big in their eyes.Oliver, who had seen through Jace's plan, smirked lightly but said nothing."No, this isn't needed; this is just from my heart; how can I take money from you people?" Logan said."Yes, Jace, you're all my good friends; there's no need to show any appreciation for our friendship." Moreover, we aren't short of cash, right?" Nora also said"Logan and Nora, please don't reject this; we are doing this from our own hearts.""We are all grateful for your endless love and support
Jace was now done with his contribution, and he was the highest contributor; Oliver was the only person left. All eyes were now on Oliver; they were waiting for him to send his contribution."Oliver, you're the only one left." The other guy saidThe truth is, they all now understood what Jace was trying to do, which was mock Oliver, so they were going to give him their support.Logan's heart was racing as her beautiful face stared at him. Even though Oliver bought a villa for $15 million, she did not know why she felt nervous, as if Oliver would lose to Jace.Maybe it's because she thought Jace's family was richer and she knew nothing about Oliver's background."Buddy, your friend would be embarrassed if he lost to Jace; don't you have any solutions to save him from this?" Nora asked Logan in a low tone.Logan bit her lip but said nothing. Her nervous face made her beauty bloom more.Oliver fished out his phone from his pocket; he didn't put the 150,000 Jace had sent in his eyes; afte
Nora's eyes widened in shock while staring at her phone screen. On her phone, it said that Oliver had transferred an amount of 100,000 bucks to her. She couldn't believe her eyes as she kept refreshing her notifications, but that was the reality.Logan, who was also beside Nora, saw that Oliver had transferred $150,000 to her account, but instead of being shocked like Nora, she was happy that Oliver wouldn't lose to Jace.Seeing the shock plastered on Nora's face, Jace thought she was shocked because Oliver had transferred something less than 10,000. Thinking of this, he said,"Nora, why don't you show us your phone screen?"Hearing this, Nora raised her phone, showing the screen to everybody. "Mr. Storm just transferred 100,000 to my account." Nora said. "Gasp!" They all took a sharp breath upon hearing Nora speak. The place was so quiet at that moment that, even if a needle was dropped at that moment, its sound would be heard. In their eyes, it was useless for a jobless person l
At the same time, in Boston Hill's City Hospital, a young, beautiful woman with her eyes closed as if she were dead was being rushed into the hospital's emergency ward by the doctors. This young, beautiful lady was none other than Oliver's wife, Zelda Ellison. Earlier, when she spoke to Oliver on the phone, she was pained by his words and decided to end her life since he had developed a deep hatred for her and they were going to divorce."Nurse, would my daughter be fine?" Abigail, who was following, asked in tears."Woman, please wait outside," a nurse said as they rushed Zelda into the ward and shut the doors.A few minutes later, a female doctor walked out of the emergency room. She was Megan Lane, the goddess doctor of Boston Hill's. Not only was Megan fair, but she was also beautiful and had the perfect body every man would wish for."Doctor Megan, please, how is my daughter?" Abigail asked immediately.Megan was pretty famous in Boston Hills, so it wasn't shocking that Abigail
After some minutes, a brand-new blue Hyundai Kona parked at City Hospital. It was Alex, whom Abigail had called a few minutes ago. After receiving a call from Abigail, Alex dropped all that he was doing and rushed to City Hospital. "Mom, what's wrong?" What are you doing at the hospital at such a late hour, and why do you look so anxious? Alex questioned. Seeing Alex's new car, she was convinced that he was the only person who would be able to save zelda. "Alex, you need to help me." "Zelda is in there struggling for her life; you need to save your future wife." For someone as greedy as Abigail, she wouldn't mind trying to hook Zelda up with anyone, so long as the other party was rich. "I saw Zelda lying motionless in her room after coming back from town and rushed her here." According to the doctor, she has taken in poison, and they need $300,000 for the operation. Abigail's tears couldn't stop flowing as she explained everything to Alex. Despite the fact that Abigail alway
As Vespera moved towards the car, she turned back to address her team, her expression steely."Before we head out, clean up these bodies," she instructed, her voice firm. "Make sure there’s no trace left behind. I don’t want any sign of this incident here."One of the guards stepped forward, nodding but looking at the black van parked nearby. "And the vehicle, ma’am? What do we do with it?”Vespera smirked, a hint of dark amusement in her eyes. "We’ll handle that too. Have it rebranded, stripped of any identifiers. Once it’s ready, it’ll be delivered to the local orphanage as a donation. They could use a decent vehicle more than these fools ever could."The guard’s mouth curled into a knowing smile as he nodded. "Understood, ma’am. We’ll get it done."The team moved quickly, setting about their tasks with military precision. Two guards began gathering the bodies, making sure every detail was accounted for, while others turned their attention to wiping down the van and removing any wea
Grimacing with agony, the man gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, struggling to endure the searing pain that radiated from his wounded thigh. Each breath was a struggle. With a steely glint in her eyes, Vespera withdrew the gun from the man's lips and aimed it at his knee with chilling precision. Without a moment's hesitation, she pulled the trigger, the deafening boom of the gunshot reverberating through the air as a bullet tore through the man's knee, shattering bone and tissue with brutal force. The man's scream echoed through the night, his body wracked with agony as he collapsed to the ground, his shattered knee rendering him utterly helpless before Vespera's merciless interrogation. "Where's the address?" Vespera demanded once more, her voice cold. Gulping hard, the man's eyes darted nervously as he struggled to compose himself through the haze of pain and fear. Finally, with a shaky breath, he spoke in a voice barely above a whisper. "The address... it's..." he

As they continued to discuss their strategy, a sudden sense of unease washed over one of the men. He stiffened, his eyes darting around the van as if searching for an unseen threat."Hey, did you guys see that?" he whispered urgently, his voice laced with alarm. The other men glanced at him, their expressions puzzled. "See what?" one of them asked, his brow furrowing in confusion."I saw something move," the man insisted, his voice rising with panic. "It was like lightning, but I couldn't see anyone.”His words hung in the air, the silence that followed thick with tension. The other men exchanged wary glances, their nerves on edge as they scanned their surroundings for any sign of danger."Maybe you're just imagining things," one of them suggested, trying to quell the rising sense of fear. But the man shook his head adamantly. "No, I'm telling you, something's not right. We need to be on high alert.”"Come on, nothing will happen," one of the men scoffed, trying to quell the rising te
They waited for many hours, the anticipation building as the darkness of evening enveloped the surroundings. Some of the men had even drifted off to sleep inside the van when suddenly, one of them spotted Garcia's car approaching."Hey, Garcia is already coming in, let's get ready," he exclaimed, shaking his comrades awake. With renewed alertness, the men peered out of the van, their eyes fixated on Garcia's car as it pulled up to the entrance. Inside the car, Vespera remained composed, her keen assassin instincts guiding her observations.Seeing a parked car nearby, Vespera assessed the situation with a practiced eye. There were no signs of prolonged parking, indicating that the vehicle was likely there for a specific purpose. With a subtle smile, she continued driving into the estate. As Garcia and Logan disembarked from the car, Vespera stayed behind, maintaining her vigilance. Garcia glanced back at her with a frown, questioning her hesitation."Why are you standing there, Vespera
Oliver's expression was stern as he listened to Arshad's fear-filled plea. He knew that Arshad had brought this predicament upon himself by attempting to carry out the contract on his life. When Arshad spoke of his fear for his life, Oliver's response was cold and pragmatic."Protecting yourself is up to you and not me," he said, his tone firm and unyielding. "You got yourself into useless problems, and now you must find a way out. Don't expect me to protect you. You have your own men; use them to find a solution.”With those words, Oliver ended the call abruptly, hanging up the phone. As Oliver hung up the phone, Zelda looked at him with concern in her eyes. "Hubby, is everything alright? Anything wrong?" she asked, sensing that the call might have been troubling.Oliver smiled warmly at her, his features softening. He leaned in and gave her a gentle kiss on the lips, a gesture meant to reassure her. "Don't worry, everything is fine," he said, his tone calm and soothing. "Just a mi
Mentioning Oliver brought a flood of memories rushing back to Logan's mind—nights spent together, whispered conversations, and shared moments of intimacy. A bittersweet smile tugged at her lips as she pondered the complexities of their relationship."How I wished I could have carried the children of such a great man," Logan sighed softly, her thoughts drifting to what could have been. "But it didn't work out that way.”After she was done dressing, Logan descended the stairs and entered the living room, where Garcia Storm awaited her, seated elegantly on the sofa.Upon seeing Logan, Garcia rose with a warm smile, her eyes brightening at the sight of her companion. "How are you, my dear?" she inquired, her concern evident in her gentle tone.Logan nodded respectfully. "I'm fine, ma'am," she replied. "Have you taken your medications?”Garcia nodded affirmatively. "Of course, I have," she chuckled softly. "You would not let me rest if I didn't, so I always do."Taking Garcia's hands in he
He paused, locking eyes with Lauren as he continued, his words cutting through the tension like a knife. "Listen, Detective. No man born of a woman, no minor deity existing on this earth, has the power to stand in front of Oliver Storm for even a minute. The bullet that can kill me hasn't been manufactured, and the weapon that can harm me hasn't been forged.”Oliver's gaze pierced through Lauren, his voice resonating with a chilling authority as he continued his proclamation of dominance."I am the harbinger of destruction, the architect of fate," he declared, his words carrying the weight of absolute certainty. "I am the tempest unleashed, the unyielding force that bends the very fabric of reality to my will.”A sense of awe washed over those present, their breath caught in their throats as they bore witness to Oliver's unbridled power. In his presence, they felt small and insignificant, mere mortals standing before a titan among men.Oliver's eyes bore into Lauren's, a glint of unde
As Lauren reached out to touch Oliver, her hand trembling slightly with anticipation, she could feel a surge of adrenaline coursing through her veins. The tension in the air was palpable as she made contact with him.Suddenly, a jolt shot through her body like an electric shock, causing her to gasp in pain. Ahhh!” Her muscles tensed, and she let out a loud scream as the force threw her backward with incredible strength. The sensation was overwhelming, as if a powerful energy had enveloped her, lifting her off her feet throwing her through the air. The impact was brutal as she collided with one of the tables at the back, shattering it into pieces upon impact.Pain radiated through her body as she lay amidst the wreckage, dazed and disoriented."Wow!" Sophia clapped, breaking the stunned silence that had settled over the place. Lauren was the one who touched Oliver, yet she was the affected one. Everyone, including Geronimo, was stunned, their eyes wide with disbelief. Oliver, however,
