It was on a rainy evening and the Airport in Landsville was crowded. Families and friends and different people from around and within the state were all gathered in a que. It was a busy evening and Lane Airline was scheduled to take off in about an hour.
"Dad, Dad!!. I think I left behind my tablet, the one you bought for me the other day. Dad I need that tablet. Please, is there any way we can go back and get it?", asked a teenager. His name was Delvin Cross, and he was fifteen years old. His father who he spoke to was a skilled and respected individual in the army, Mister Bane Cross. They were both passengers of Lane Airline "No Delvin, the plane will soon take off. We won't make it back on time. Let's just forget about the tablet, I promise I will get you another." It was noisy and hard to hear nor speak unless at close range. Ahead was a straight line of fifty passengers all ready to board the plane. "Good day ladies and gentlemen, I am the airport Announcer. In about thirty minutes, Lane Airline will be landing for pickup. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience. Please, all passengers should check in accordingly and we hope to see you on board the plane. " "Heyy! Heyy!! I thought there was news about a heavy rainstorm coming. Why are they saying nothing about it?? Are they sure it's safe going on air?!", a passenger asked loudly. His name was Scott. As the question echoed loudly, a few passengers began to worry. Those with their families consisted of a father, mother and children, while others friends, a doctor, a cop, a few college students, and a lot more interesting passengers all gathered to inquire if it was safe to fly. The airport officers were immediately called upon to organize and clear the confusion and commotion that seemed to be brewing amongst the passengers. "Good day all, please remain calm and be in an orderly manner to avoid any accidents. I will answer whichever questions you may want to ask", said the leader of the airport police. In that split moment, a chorus wail of noise from the passengers echoed again with the question. "Tell us officer, we want to know, is it really safe to fly!? We hear there's a rainstorm coming! We would like to know for certain if it's safe or not!." A man's voice echoed loudly from all the noise and everyone turned to look at him. It was Bane Cross the Soldier. "Yes! You sir, thank you for the question. To answer that, I can assure you it's totally safe. It is true that there's a rainstorm coming, but take my word for it, the captain will ensure you all get to your destination safely by taking a safest route possible to avoid flying onto it. He's the best pilot out there and will ensure each one gets to arrive at their destination safely", replied the Airport police officer. Bane was a bit convinced, but a few of the passengers were still in doubt. Some of the passengers found it hard to believe and so, complained while exiting the airport. They simply couldn't take the risk. In the midst of the whole commotion, one of the passengers, a retired police officer in his mid-forties, intervened and spoke out loudly. "Please, everyone, let's try to be calm and just take the words of the airport officer. We are all here to travel to Merra city for personal reasons best know to us. Let's trust that they know what they are doing. This is not their first time doing their job. We should take their word for it and trust that they will get us all to our destination safe and sound", said the retired officer, Mister Warren. The words of Warren seemed to have calmed the troubled minds of the passengers. The airport officer noticed this and was surprised. He immediately took the intiative to appreciate Warren for his assistance. "Sir, thank you so much for your assistance. Your words were more effective and seemed to have calmed them down ", said the airport officer. "Well, I am glad that I was of a little help. So, how long will it take to get us all on board the plane?", Warren asked while staring at his watch. "Well, you should all be getting on board about three minutes from now. There's a bit of clean up on the plane by the cleaning crew. They should be done in about three minutes or so", replied the officer. "Alright then." At that precise moment, a young man dressed in a cowboy attire approached them. He wanted to know where the men's restroom was. "It's over there sir", replied the officer. The man nodded in appreciation and hurried himself to the restroom. "I am right behind you, sir! I will be quick!", the man yelled as he rushed into the restroom. It was already three minutes past and all passengers were guided to the plane by airport agents after proper procedures were taken to ensure that none of the passengers had in possession anything illegal or harmful. "Please use the hallway to get to the plane, it's right outside. Thank you for your patience", said the airport agents. They got checked in by the flight personnel at the aircraft entrance gate and were each led to their seats. Shortly after, the cowboy hurriedly joined the last row to board the plane. In about twenty minutes, they had successfully accounted for the passengers listed in the manifest on route to Mera city. Fifty in total and were seated in their seats. Having accounted for every passenger on board the plane, the air traffic control tower announced take off. Shortly after, the flight personnel gave a pre-flight announcement as expected on all airplanes about to take off. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, We ask that you please fasten your seat-belts at this time and secure all belongings underneath your seat or in the overhead compartments. Please turn off all personal electronic devices, including laptops and cell phones. Lane airline en route to Mera city. Thank you ladies and gentlemen, for your patience and for choosing Lane Airline. Do enjoy your flight. We are ready for departure."About a few thousand feet above ground, the plane had successfully taken off. All passengers were seated in their seats, as a few of them gazed so passionately at the clouds in the sky. It was indeed a sight to behold one that mesmerizes many and left the rest in awe. The captain in his duty, performed further announcement in which case he welcomed everyone properly and the passengers all felt relaxed and composed. "Our flight to Mera city would take about two hours upon arrival at our destination. It's already fifty minutes past our departure time. We should be approaching Mera city very soon, Delvin", said his father, Bane Cross, who at every second, kept a locked eye contact to his watch. Delvin observed this and worridely asked, "Dad, what's the matter??. You keep staring at your watch almost like you are expecting something or rather running out of time. We are on a plane Dad, what's the worse thing that can happen? You are just being paranoid. Nothing will occur, just try
"Roger captain, switching from slow flight to deep dive!", yelled Max, the co-pilot. The captain held hard to his yoke, and pulled to the right position to maneuver away from the pressure of the vortex, which kept pulling at the plane with so much force. "Max!! Put a dispatch call through to the Airport control center, now!!", he said as he made the pull to the right position. "Mayday! Mayday! Mayday! This is lane Airline, en-route to Mera city!! We are facing an unbelievable situation; an abnormal sight of what looks like a vortex suddenly out of the open, and it's huge!! It's somehow sucking us in, causing intense turbulence on the plane. We have initiated a deep dive and are requesting assistance for safer directions. We have lost all navigation systems and are flying blind. Our altitude is about a few thousand feet, and we are trying to engage away at full speed to see if we can beat whatever this thing is from sucking us in. There are fifty passengers accounted for, all seated a
"We survive!! All of us!! Together!!." The passengers turned to see whose words echoed so loudly and, to their surprise, it was the man who had yelled out in the plane to embrace for impact. A few recognized him while others didn't know him nor recognize him because he wasn't seated in the same section of the plane as them. "I remember you", said one of the passengers. "Yes, I remember him too, speaking out at the airport during the commotion and on the plane before the crash", said another. A lot more of the passengers confirmed to have seen him earlier, while others were quiet because they didn't know the stranger that stood in front of them. Bane drew closer to a spot where he could be easily seen and heard. He then spoke out, "Everyone! Please, can I have your attention?!." They all got startled, and curious. The whole area became quiet. They all looked at him, waiting for him to speak. "Thank you. Now that I have all gotten your attention, I will now introduce myself. My name i
Somewhere deep in the jungle, Bane, Adam and Romero gently observed the strange forest. A few of the trees had strange carvings. And they looked somewhat strange. At first, it seemed like a regular symbol of a native culture carved by humans, but Romero could perceive a stench all over each carving that made him conclude in his instincts that it was probably carved by an unknown species. "You mean to say Aliens?? What made you draw that conclusion, Romero??", asked Bane, curious but not surprised at the possibility. Especially not after they had witnessed the whole vortex incident that led to them being in an unknown dimension. Romero stopped and looked beneath a gathered branch of leaves. "Look at this and how far it goes. These are footprints of something large, and you can see it only has three toes. We are definitely not alone, Bane", said Romero. "Unbelievable, I honestly want to find it hard to believe, but not with this evidence right in front of us. Even over there, they
"Hey boys!!! Turn back now!! It ain't safe going into the jungle. I wouldn't do that if I were you. So come on, turn back, you shouldn't go there, it's dangerous. Understood?", Warren stared at them hoping that they would make a turn back but they didn't.Delvin smiled and replied, "We will be fine, Mr Warren" and dashed off into the jungle, ignoring Warren's warning. Warren grinded his teeth in frustration and said, "Kids their age hardly listen to grown-ups. Don't they understand how dangerous it is heading into that jungle?? One of the passengers who was watching the entire time, stood up and said," Warren! Don't stress it.... Let me escort the boys, I promise you I won't let them go far", said the passenger. His name was Stan. Warren hesitated and said, "Well, okay. Just make sure they don't go far and try to keep them close to you. You're quite aware that boy is Bane's son, the soldier, who left hours ago to scout the Island. So please be careful and, like I said, don't go far",
Stan ran as fast as he could, leading the boys far away from shore. He had calculated that returning to the group at that moment was a bad idea. After witnessing the existence of unknown beings, and its intentions, he took the necessary precaution to avoid any of its kind following them all the way to shore and reeking havoc upon them. So he kept running through the jungle with the unconsious boy on his back while Delvin with the other boy tagged along. "Where are we going to?? We don't need to go that far away from the group. We don't know what's further out there in the jungle", said the third boy, who got exhausted for running that long and needed to catch his breath, and so he stopped. Stan and Delvin stopped as well and tried catching their breaths before making the next run further into the jungle. "I know what I am doing kid. We needed to draw their attention away from the others on shore or a lot might get injured or worse. Yes, I don't know where we are running to but, kee
"Mother!! They are here!!", screamed the boy. He looked frightened, like he had seen a ghost. Bane, Adam and Romero could tell from the boys' reaction that whatever had the boy frightened in that way, was related to the unknown existence of an Alien entity they had discovered earlier in the jungle. Immediately, they got on their feet and kept a low voice to hide their presence. "Madame. What do they look like?? Are they aliens?? Tell us. Is there something we need to know?? At least to know what we are up against. You must know something from all this time you and your people have co-existed with them", asked Bane, as he carefully peeped out the small windows, to keep watch of the area surrounding the tent. Romero and Adam rushed further into the tent to find themselves something they could use to fight against whatever it was that had the boy scared to his wits. "I found something. Come over....come look at this! ", said Romero. Adam quickly walked over to where he was and what th
