Carter and Rhoda have gone round the base along the edges of the shield, but didn't find any problem with the shield or any other problem.

They went back into the base and continued searching for the cause of the buzzing sound. But there was still no sign of any problem.

While the search was still on, Carter is working on the computer, going over and over the programs trying to find any fault, while Rhoda was beside him looking at the results of the analysis of the substance that killed Jamie.

Suddenly, a broadcast began on all screens and speakers "attention all human! We are aware that you are in no state to fight a war right now, we are also aware that you can't figure what caused a sound in your base. The sound is as a result of a gap created in your aether shield. You have ten hours to fix it or you will receive a little surprise through it"

As soon as the broadcast was over, all the screens and speakers shut down and commander tyra was gone.
