Back in the abandoned plane of the outer territories of the Centaurian empire, Astra stood at the edge of a mountain together with prince Adriel, from behind them, a large horde of different kinds of monsters have gathered having noticed them thanks to Adriel’s carelessness and inability to conceal his presence as they move. In front of them is the lava field, as far as a two hundred meters in front of them is a region that is scorched by focused rays of the sun. the floor of the region is heated by \solar beams so hot and concentrated that the rocks on the ground become red hot while the sand melt and form glass. A majority of the region is covered by the red hot rocks that radiate heat for Astra to be feeling light headed just by standing near the lava field. Astra raised her head up and looked at the sky, she saw an incredible thunderstorm gathering above, from side to side, pierced by the beams of the sun that are heating the floor of the lava field. “This region called the lava
As soon as they were out of the lava zone, Astra brought them down and Adriel was still not settled. He looked up above them and kept staring upwards. The beeping on their bracelets continued once again, showing them the same massage it has warned them with earlier. Watching the sky to see what exactly that means. All of a sudden, A bright light shone in the sky, making all of them understand what they had to do. “That is a large meteorite shattering upon hitting the atmosphere, it looks like the fragments will be raining down on this region a few minutes later. What do we do now?” she asked. Adriel turned around and twisted his ring, another golden tablet appeared in his hand and he pressed many thing at the same time that although she could watch him do it, Astra has no idea what he was doing. As the light of the meteor shower brightens up with thousands of fragments heading their way, Adriel finally finished setting up whatever it was that he was using the tablet to set, he tur
Back at the forest outside the walls of the Estelona regional colonies, five shadow assassins lurk in the shadows of the forest awaiting the arrival of their traveling companion from the Tyra colony, one of the unbeatable five of Tyra. Each of them dressed in pitch black suits that can absorb all light around them in a fairly lighted area to blend in with the shadows, the suits cover every part of their bodies with a hood on top that covers their head and masks to cover their faces. The five assassins have been tasked specifically by their master, Lord Shina, to travel all the way to the center of the abandoned plains of Centauri. They have arrived an hour ago but have yet to meet their travel companion from the Tyra household. The assassins came out of the shadows and assembled under the canopy of the forest. “Who exactly, from the unbeatable five, is it going to be? It will better not be Sting. If it is her, I don’t think I can work with her. Aren’t we even better off carrying out
“Why were we not able to see it at all earlier? We were in their nest this whole time and we had no idea at all. How is that possible?” Astra asked. “That is because of the black widow’s special trait absolute camouflage. But if you noticed, nit is not only the black widows that we did not see, even the pile of dead Argonaut demons was invisible to us until we washed our eyes with the spectral fluid.” Adriel said, rolling his eyes to the left to see if there is any of the black widows that has noticed them. “They have a unique biology, just like many other living things, they have developed and evolved to what they are today to suit their environment and enhance their survival, the black widows have an eye that can see light in a mixture of the infrared and ultraviolet spectra that other species can’t see. Their bodies produce a mucus that resonate and absorb only infrared and ultraviolet spectra of light, making it invisible to us and other species.” “The liquid we washed our eyes
Astra saw the look in the female guard’s eye, she remember her well enough, from when she hid in the pool chamber and watched her, to the duel she fought with the black knight back in the Agnus castle, she knew that the guard has had an eye out for her all along, the way she looks at her and the reaction she has on her face whenever their eyes met. “This is different now, in her eyes I am but an enemy of the empire, probably a lowly Terran who by her standards has no rights in the face of her superior existence.” Astra said to herself. She landed prince Adriel by the side and retrieved her five blades, keeping them activated and floating just above her head. Adriel’s helion shield deactivated instantly, his face looks a little tired to Claria and he has not said anything. “I knew it, the helion heart is really weak without the commandment, if I want to wield helion artifacts I will need the commandment after all, the effects on my body are huge. I feel so dizzy and out of it.” Adrie
With itching pain in her eyes, Claria looked in the direction where the prince is lying down and saw five black widows emerging from the hole that she has dug earlier to save him from the cavern he was trapped in. “What in the world is going on here? Not only did the Terran had me beat in a fight but there are black widow all the way out here? Just what is going on here? Either way, I have to get Adriel out of there right now. I can deal with the Terran later.” She murmured to herself and clasp her palms together. ‘I need to get my helion heart to hundred percent activated if I want to beat a single black widow, that is if I can even beat one. But if I can get the prince and get out of here fast enough, then I may have a chance of saving him.’ She thought and continue the process of activating the helion heart. When she looked in the direction where Astra was standing earlier, there was nobody there, Astra has immediately activated her blades and zoomed in the direction of the princ
After twenty three minutes of killing the Argonaut demons around him, Dula has finally dispersed the large horde into a small handful of beasts that are currently retreating away from the position back into their plains. With a blood covered body, she shouted at the top of his lungs and in celebration of his victory as he walks back to the edge of he lava zone where the shadow assassins were waiting for the right opportunity to follow the rare clouds of meteors that pass and sometimes even more rare than there passing, they fall onto the mountain ranges beyond the lava zone. “That was an incredible fight alright, but I know you guys are still rookies in the desert so here is a little piece of advice. Right now we have about twenty minutes to get the hell out of here, these Argonaut demons may look like they were running from me after I have killed hundreds of them but that is not true at all. The beasts in the wild have a sense of danger that is unparalleled to that of any living th
For the next seven hours, Astra and Claria sat in the resting area of the cube shaped vehicle as it slowly approaches the end of the desert where their next step of the journey awaits them. Throughout their stay in the resting center of the vehicle, they mostly stare at one another awkwardly, not knowing what to say to each other and barely overcoming the fact that they almost killed each other not too many hours ago. With a little bit of courage and wit, Claria managed to ask. “So what is it like in Terra? I know this is so sudden but what is it like growing up there, with the vastness of water bodies that the planet has?” With an expressionless face, Astra turned around and looked at the soldier seated next tom her in tattered stealth uniform and an inquisitive look in her face. “Are you for real? You mean to tell me that your entire civilization is about to migrate to a planet four and a half light years away and even top ranking soldiers like you have not been briefed about wha
