Invasion: the apocalypse 6.8: BREWING TROUBLE
Back at the forest outside the walls of the Estelona regional colonies, five shadow assassins lurk in the shadows of the forest awaiting the arrival of their traveling companion from the Tyra colony, one of the unbeatable five of Tyra. Each of them dressed in pitch black suits that can absorb all light around them in a fairly lighted area to blend in with the shadows, the suits cover every part of their bodies with a hood on top that covers their head and masks to cover their faces. The five assassins have been tasked specifically by their master, Lord Shina, to travel all the way to the center of the abandoned plains of Centauri. “Why were we not able to see it at all earlier? We were in their nest this whole time and we had no idea at all. Astra saw the look in the female guard’s eye, she remember her well enough, from when she hid in the pool chamber and watched her, to the duel she fought with the black knight back in the Agnus castle, she knew that the guard has had an eye out for her all along, the way she looks at her and the reaction she has on her face whenever their eyes met. “This is different now, in her eyes I am but an enemy of the empire, probably a lowly Terran who by her standards has no rights in the face of her superior existence.” Astra said to herself. With itching pain in her eyes, Claria looked in the direction where the prince is lying down and saw five black widows emerging from the hole that she has dug earlier to save him from the cavern he was trapped in. “What in the world is going on here? Not only did the Terran had me beat in a fight but there are black widow all the way out here? Just what is going on here? Either way, I have to get Adriel out of there right now. After twenty three minutes of killing the Argonaut demons around him, Dula has finally dispersed the large horde into a small handful of beasts that are currently retreating away from the position back into their plains. With a blood covered body, she shouted at the top of his lungs and in celebration of his victory as he walks back to the edge of he lava zone where the shadow assassins were waiting for the right opportunity to follow the rare clouds of meteors that pass and sometimes even more rare than there passing, they fall onto the mountain ranges beyond the lava zone. “That was an incredible fight alright, but I know you guys are still rookies in the desert so here is a little piece of advice. For the next seven hours, Astra and Claria sat in the resting area of the cube shaped vehicle as it slowly approaches the end of the desert where their next step of the journey awaits them. Throughout their stay in the resting center of the vehicle, they mostly stare at one another awkwardly, not knowing what to say to each other and barely overcoming the fact that they almost killed each other not too many hours ago. With a little bit of courage and wit, Claria managed to ask. “So what is it like in Terra? The alien from the tower has just appeared in the presidential meeting hall in base zero and Carter is standing right next to him on the podium. He immediately reached for his HELL- blade and realized that it is not there at the moment. ‘Shit, I left it in my room when I was coming out, but come to think of it. From above them, a long vine with hundreds of needle sharp spikes swing itself down in their direction, as Astra studies it, she noticed that it was long enough to reach them from the roof of the forest and although it was covered in spikes that can skewer a person if they hit them; she noticed an even bigger thing about the vines she should watch out for. Each of them stood in place and watched the vine miss them. The tip of the vine is accumulated into a thick round ball shaped structure that both carry much of the vine’s weight and help it gain momentum when it swings. “So this is more a wrecking ball trap than an actual spike trap, but the wrecking balls at the end of the vines are also covered with the spikes as well.” Astra said to herself.
