Chapter 5: Distress in the Bank

Susan Adel and Louis Adonis were seated on the chairs oppositely. Both of them had lots of things to talk to the other one.

They kept silent for a little while and Louis broke the silence then:" Susan, you told me that you are my mother's little sister. But I've never seen you before."

Susan felt surprised that her nephew didn't ask her about the wealth firstly, but soon she came the question:

"During the training period of every Adonis, we are not allowed to see you even though you are my nephew, son of my dear sister." Her low voice seemed depressed.

Louis continued:"Could you please tell me more about the Adonis and your family?" He was curious about it.

“Both the Adonis and the Adel are rich, but the Adonis is the most wealthy family in the world while the Adels are attached to the Adonis Family.”

"So where is my father since he wasn't dead or missed in the sail? And how's my mum, she didn't pass away, right?" He wanted to know the truth.

Seeing his eager eyes, Susan told him that Titus was busy with International affairs, but Lily had passed away at his age of eight really.

Louis heard Sushan say that and did not say anything more. He calmly walked to the windows and said, "Okay, so how can you explain to me what's going on?"

Susan smiled and nodded, "Titus sends his compliments to you. You lived a life of poverty for 20 years without ever giving up your studies or degrading. You are an extremely outstanding man. Now, you can live your true identity and train to be worthy of your status. Until then, you can return to the clan's main house."

When Louis heard Susan say that, he couldn't help but feel surprised. This isn't their main house, but it's already this big, so how expensive and extensive is their main house?!

He wanted to ask, but he remembered what Suhan had said. Now he was the heir to the wealthiest family in the world.

He really shouldn't be surprised by these things, so Louis nodded at Susan and said, "Tell my father I'll try to train myself."

Susan heard Lousi say that and nodded with satisfaction. She gave Louis a credit card and a watch.

That credit card is black, with a hidden pattern, but not too prominent. Louis needed to find out which bank the card came from.

Unlike the credit card, the other watch is dazzling and not so famous. It has a silver colour, the inside is inlaid with diamonds, and the knowledge of the eye is very mysterious motifs.

The most striking thing is probably the watch's second hand, a lifelike snake wrapped in the clock's second hand.

The snake's eyes seemed shining, emitting an ice-cold blue light resembling Louis's beautiful eyes.

Louis was almost mesmerized by it until Sushan's voice said: "You have an unlimited credit card to buy anything you need. And that watch is the symbol of the family, and only the heir has it; it is unique, like your noble status. At the same time, Lord Adonis also appointed you to be the president of the largest company in this city as a way for you to practice. Details Lord Adonis will tell you later. Now you are just getting used to it."

Louis heard that and opened his eyes wide; his eyes seemed shining.

At this moment, something seemed to be changing; everything was changing in his mind, his feeling toward the world. From this moment, he is unique; no one can replace or compare him!

Now, he has even become the president of the biggest company in the city!

Susan finished his instructions and left. After the door closed, Louis immediately fell back onto the sofa. He raised his hand to look at the watch on his wrist; the eye fits his hand like it was born in his hand.

After a while, Louis got up and went upstairs to look at his room.

The room was huge; the house he had lived in before was smaller than this room.

In the bedroom is a kingsize bed; next to the bedroom is a dressing room; inside are clothes for all four seasons; each set is challenging to see where the label is, perhaps tailor-made.

Louis should have paid more attention, and he wanted to go to the bank to confirm if there was a real $10 billion in this card.

Because this card looks very strange, not outstanding; Moreover, he did not see his father.

He still had doubts, so he had no choice but to go to the bank to confirm if there was an actual $10 billion inside.

Louis took his real estate card and went out under the sun; the snake's eye, on the other hand, gleamed as bright as his future.

The affluent neighborhood is very close to the bank, but this is a bank for the rich. When the staff saw Louis dressed usually, he frowned but said, "Please follow me; I don't know what you want to serve?"

Louis ignored the employee's attitude but said, "I want to check the limit of my card."

The bank employee heard that and felt extremely funny. The guy in front of her is really a poor country guy; he doesn't even know how much his card has a limit.

Thinking that, the expression on the staff's face became even more disdainful. She said to Louis, "You wait on the chair."

Louis, hearing that, frowned and said: "I bring my card here; you can see it for me; I just want to confirm a little."

The staff member was highly annoying; she got into this bank because of her kinship; usually, she never had to do much.

Her only goal in this bank to work is to find the boys in the affluent neighborhood and make money from them. And Louis looks very ordinary; his clothes don't know what brand they are.

He stood there, making her eyes itch. She frowned and walked to one side of her nail, uninterested in Louis.

Louis frowned and was about to say something when a new employee came over. Louis noticed her; this employee had just handled the procedure for an elderly couple.

The new employee's name is Elly; she smiled at Louis and said, "Do you want to check your bank card?"

Her smile is heartfelt and respectful; this is the attitude of an employee when dealing with customers.

Louis was very pleased with this employee. He smiled, held out his card, and said, "Yes, I want to check how much my card has a limit."

He won't tell the staff he just got this card from his dad. He had no obligation to explain to strangers.

Elly took Louis's card in her hand; she frowned momentarily, then handed it back to Louis and said: "Sorry, sir, I can't see which bank's credit card this is. Perhaps you received a card from a bank that was too small and unregistered?"

Louis frowned when he heard that, but before he could say anything, the other employee laughed scornfully and said: "As expected, I guess it's not wrong. Looking at him, you know he is poor; how can you get a credit card from a decent bank? I don't know how much my card's limit is. Maybe this card is something he stole from anywhere."

When Elly heard that, she frowned and said, "Don't talk to guests like that."

Initially, she said to care about Louis, but she didn't expect her colleague to speak harshly.

Just as she was about to apologize to Louis, a voice laughed again: "Oh my god, are you poor enough to steal a bank card, Louis? You fail."
