Midnight Chats 2

Doravoli gnawed at the remains of the feast. He devoured everything on the table untouched, like a greedy scavenger.

When he saw William at the door, he froze as he bit into a piece of meat.

"Hah! That's why you're fat!" William yelled, pointing at Doravoli. "And you make excuses, but you're busy eating in the middle of the night!"

"Wait, no, I can explain." Doravoli put down the meat in his hands, ran up to William, wiped his greasy hands on himself, and fell at his feet.

"Help me, William. I do not know what to do! No matter what I eat, my body is hungry." Doravoli almost cried, despite his age and beard.

Ever since he and William went camping, his body felt empty, and as a hungry person, he couldn't stop himself from attacking the food he saw all the time. Doravoli had not shown much of it at the time because Lawrence had children with him, but now that he was alone, he had no reason not to feed himself.
