More Trouble

The next day, William opened his shop full of hope. The sun had just risen and was shining brightly in the sky, letting him know that the day was going to be good. William closed the shelves and, after removing the opening date from the shop door, hung a sign that said "open."

Then he began to wait. In a short time, people began to fill Adventurers Street. This was always a busy street anyway, and he saw people doing a lot of shopping in the shops here. Even he had been wandering around these shops to check out the market without being noticed. He knew that his biggest competitor was the auction house to his right.

Contrary to William's expectations, even though an hour had passed and the streets were full of people, most people had just taken a quick look at his shop and passed by without going in.

William thought he would have to be patient for the first customer to arrive and waited patiently.
