William Runs Away

Enid, with two mages at her side, flew a few miles before stopping in midair. One of the two mages beside her was an old woman who looked like she was in some kind of trouble. Her white hair and a few long white hairs growing above her lips showed that she was too old to care about her appearance.

Enid turned her head and asked the old woman. " Grandma, can you find them?"

"There's no harm in trying," the old woman said and went down. She put her hand on a thick tree and tapped it several times with the staff in her other hand. The old woman seemed to have touched the whole forest by touching one tree. Suddenly, thousands of trees around her trembled as if they were one body, and that body had a heart. Then it boomed several times as if this body had a heart.
