Chapter 216

Outside, James met Williams pacing around in the waiting room. When he saw James, Williams turned around and smirked, deciding it was time to continue provoking him.

“Leaving so soon, James?” Williams said with a snort, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall.

James ignored him and walked towards the exit, brushing past Williams. Williams, however, wasn’t about to let it go. He clasped his hands behind his back and followed James.

“Running away, are we? Just like you always do,” Williams taunted, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

James stopped abruptly, his fingers curling into fists. He took a deep breath and turned to face Williams, his eyes cold and hard. “What do you want, Williams?”

Williams laughed, a harsh, grating sound that echoed in the hallway. “Just wanted to talk. You know, man to man. Or should I say, man to whatever it is you are.”

James clenched his jaw, fighting to keep his composure. “I have nothing to say to you,” he said, his voice tight.
