The next day was a saturday. James was still in bed even when it was past 9 am. in the morning.

Last night, he couldn't sleep. He kept rolling and tossing on the bed.

As soon as he closed from work, he went straight to the small motel room he had booked days back.

The fact that the security guards let him leave without questioning him surprised him.

He had thought that the company would try to not let him leave since he's now under their debt.

But that wasn't what was bothering him the most.

What was going through his mind the whole time was his encounter with Alisha at her office.

The memory of the whole encounter with her kept replaying in his head.

He wasn't sure of how to react either. He couldn't deny the fact that she cared for him dearly, and a part of him felt like he still cared for her.

'This is all useless! Am I missing her or what?' he thought.

The more he tried to get her off his mind, the more he thought about her.
