CHAPTER 12

Mrs. Maria's legs were shaking, she was finding it hard to stand up. She felt her waist was glued to the seat. Tears well in her eyes. Her heart sank into her stomach.

“Mrs. Maria Miller, kindly step outside.” He asked again.

The staff members stared at her, the atmosphere was filled with fear and worries.

Her heart ached and tears welled up at the corner of her eyes. She sauntered forward with her head face down. His lips curved up in a small smile as he stared down at her with a serious face. He collected a file from Robert Smith and skimmed at it.

“Mrs. Maria, You have been in this company for four years.

True or false.” He questioned

“Yes,” she said in a cracking voice.

“Also you have been embezzling money using an orphanage account.”

Everyone was looking at her with a sneering and sarcastic look.

“True or false” he questioned again.

“True.”

The staff were all shocked at her confession, her expression was filled with shame and disappointment.
