CHAPTER 102

Jim got up to his feet despite the unbearable pain in his chest. Though the old man realized that, he didn’t stop or turn his head back. He kept walking.

Jim took a couple of steps forward. The pain proved too much to bear, and he gasped for air and then lost consciousness and collapsed forward.

The old man stopped by the door and shut it from the inside. He turned around and observed Jim. “Mm…he’s at least got the determination to not give up. You need that much if you want to reach a high level in the realm of martial arts.” He used his foot to turn Jim’s body to the other side. And then he poked Jim’s chest at multiple spots. “Now that I’ve released his energy channels… he should feel a lot better when he wakes up.”

He then picked up the martial art book, went to the side, sat down, and began to read it upside down.
