A few hours later.

Jim walked out of the training grounds as a sweaty, tired man. The guards waiting outside prepared a hot drink, which was yellow in color.

“Is this urine?” Jim asked doubtfully.

“No, my lord. It’s pineapple peel tea,” one of the guards said. “It’s very healthy after a workout. It relieves the joint pain and all.”

“Mm…” Jim hesitantly brought his nose closer to the cup. To his relief, it really did smell like pineapple. He tasted it, and it wasn’t half bad. “It would have been better if you didn’t add sugar. I don’t like sugar, you see.”

“Then we’ll add honey from now on, Lord Jim,” the guards said.

“Cool. Tell me what generally happens in this street,” Jim asked them. “What’s the most exciting thing that people talk about?”

“What else? Deaths, of course.”
