A big part of the ceiling above them collapsed, but none of those big rocks were able to touch them because of the energy their collision kept spreading.All the rocks fell on their sides and kept getting pushed back.Jim felt his barrier weakening as the demonic energy corrupted it steadily. Jim was pouring his energy into the barrier, but it wasn’t doing a good job at regenerating the barrier.“Not bad, Hero,” Bloody Corpse smirked. “How about this?” he suddenly released a pulse of energy that added to the pressure he already put. This broke the barrier at once. “These little shits…” Bloody Corpse shivered with rage. “How dare you ignore me! I’ll require you to pay with your lives for this!” He spread his arms out, and two black chains released from out of his palms. “Night Light Chains!” These energy chains grew long and tried to seal all four of them. “Seal their souls forever!”Jim formed a large sphere of vivre that covered all of them, including the sabertooth. It blocked the black chains that kept absorbing all the light around, making everything absolutely dark. Within seconds, only the space inside the sphere was bright. It looked like there was no means of escape for them because blackness surrounded them in every direction.“This is crazy,” Electric Assassin could feel the lightning energy all around on the outside of the sphere. “If we step out, we’re going to be burnt to ashes. Bloody Corpse thought that the fight was over and that he caught the hero in his clutches.And so he went for the kill without a shred of hesitation. He wanted to chomp Jim’s face off in one big bite.However, he suddenly found his body freezing in its tracks against his will. “What the…” it took him a second to realize that it was Jim’s psychic vivre that was pushing his body in the opposite direction. This made it difficult for Bloody Corpse to keep the pressure on Jim’s throat.Thanks to Jim’s efforts, the pressure on his neck was reduced a bit. Many hours later.On the third floor of the beast dungeon.“Why didn’t a single soul return?” Binnie was biting his nails in frustration. She sent many scouts, but none of them returned to tell her exactly what was happening on the second floor, or to be precise, in the destroyed lower half of the dungeon. “What were those tremors we felt? Who was fighting after the floor collapsed? Not knowing anything is freaking annoying. Should I just go and check it myself?”Unable to withstand the tension anymore, she rushed to the stairs that led to the lower floors. The stairs were sealed off by a black fog that would confuse anybody that entered it without permission.Binnie uttered a mantra in ancient tongue, and then the fog parted and gave her way.
