“Severance Song!”The sound wave traveled through her whip and reached Jim’s fist, but it was repelled and sent back toward her, leaving her slack-jawed.Little Nightmare was forced to let go of her wrist, or she was afraid of hurting her own wrist.The whip’s handle exploded, but it still survived the explosion because it was built to withstand such damage.She tried to touch the whip, but it was so hot.Jim was about to step toward her and release a punch, but Nightmare_lily grabbed his foot and dug her nails into his leg and released wind directly into his body.Jim felt his heart suddenly suffer from a stroke.“Now! “Spider Web!”A large web of light flew toward Jim insanely fast.Jim didn’t try to dodge this time. He thrust his palm forth and created a vivre barrier which managed to stop the web, but the web began to melt into the barrier and weakened it.“Crocodile’s Tail!”Lovelace this time sent a whip-like attack that tried to blast its way through the barrier. And it did manage to break the barrier, but Jim already created another barrier.“Lizard’s Tongue!”She sent a thrusting attack this time, which broke the barrier, but then Jim caught the rope-like light that was quite hot. But his spiritual vivre helped his hand bear the heat. In that moment when Love Bullet fell to the ground lifelessly, Jim really hated himself for allowing her to die.While he was battling Lovelace, he was learning and improving. Despite being on the defensive, he could feel himself getting stronger. Even though he didn’t show it on his face, he enjoyed the exchange he had with Lovelace; however, right now, all of that seemed selfishness on his part.The same selfishness that Lovelace said was equal with love.This was a huge mental blow to Jim.His arms were already feeling numb after using the War God’s reversal mirror technique. He didn't have many friends growing up, but if you ask Shiney, she’ll tell you that he’s the kind you wouldn’t want to end your relationship with once you get to know him. Then again, Shiney might give you a different answer depending on the mood she’s in when you ask her.
