Lola came to the Spring hospital to check on her daughter’s situation. “It’s been a week, doctor. Didn’t you say that her readings are normal now. Then why isn’t she waking up?”

“I’m positive that she’ll wake up within a few days,” the doctor replied patiently.

“If there’s no change even after two days, then I’ll take her home and seek another doctor,” Lola said.

The doctor persuaded her to be patient, but she didn’t change her mind.

After the doctor left, Lola changed the flowers in the pot with the fresh flowers. She touched Rena’s face and pursed her lips. “Wake up soon, Rena. We’re all waiting for you. Let us see your smile once again.”

Marc’s favorite daughter was Shiney, whereas Lola adored Rena more because of her intellect, maturity and her way of handling things. So, it really hurt Lola to see her firstborn be bedridden and in a coma for a week now.
