CHAPTER 78

Alarm bells rang in the sniper’s mind as Jim looked straight up at him. “What the fuck? Why is he…” He immediately aborted the mission and ran away with all possible haste.

He climbed down the building, taking the stairs and then jumped over the back wall before getting into his rented car. However, just as turned the key on, a gun was pointing toward him from the other side of the window.

“Show me your hands, or I’ll shoot you in three, two…” Jim stepped to his left and revealed himself as the sniper lifted both his hands.

“Who told you that I was coming?” the sniper coming.

“You don’t get to ask questions,” Jim said. “Why don’t you tell me everything you know, and then let me decide if it’s worth sparing you or not?”

The sniper frowned and then told him what he knew.

“So, you are telling me, the current deputy chief of police has sent you a message, telling you to deal with me?” Jim couldn’t help but frown. “Why would someone at such a high position want to kill me?”
