“Can you please give me your number?” the receptionist with her pretty round eyes asked expectantly.

“I’ll ask my wife and then give you the answer,” Jim said and kept walking.

She didn’t follow him anymore. “Hmph, just because he looks ‘a little’ pretty, he thinks so highly of himself.” She went back to her desk. “I couldn’t stop him. I hope he won’t bother Mr. Austin too much. I’ll definitely trouble him when he’s exiting the building.”

On the top floor, Jim stepped out of the elevator, and he caught many eyes.

Many people kept looking at him without even blinking, especially women. As he walked past them, they began to gossip, wondering who he was. They thought he came to talk with the boss, but Jim eventually stopped by Rena’s room.

“Why did he stop at her room?”

“That workaholic has been on a luck streak lately, hasn’t she?”

“Maybe he’s got the wrong room?”

“I hope so.”
