“Who are you? Why did you try to kill me?” Jim asked the eight-year-old a straight question as he didn’t feel safe around her. Jim kept walking down the corridor until he reached rooms starting with Z. He kept going, wanting to see what would come after Z, but to his disappointed rooms started with AA, BB, and so on. “Just how far does this thing go?” Jim could only wonder at this moment. He was about to use the master key to open room number AA1. [Are you sure you want to do that?] Joe’s voice rang in his mind, stopping him. [What if the difficulty level of A1 and AA1 are much different? Will you be able to handle the person inside this room? What if they chose to attack you regardless of what you say?] “If I keep thinking about all those things, then I’ll never be able to open a door,” Jim put the key in the hole and twisted it. Jim was sitting by a wall inside his new room and was staring at the wall opposite to him. There were four options available for him as per the items fixed the wall suggested. One item was robotic arms. If he were to choose them, his real arms would be fortified by the mechanical power of cyborgs. Another item was robotic legs. This would replace real legs with mechanical ones but would grant a lot of strength in return. The third item was gut strings, where a person’s gut would be alerted so that they would be able to shoot strings out of their belly and use them to travel around and kill people like a spider would. Jim got up to his feet despite the unbearable pain in his chest. Though the old man realized that, he didn’t stop or turn his head back. He kept walking.Jim took a couple of steps forward. The pain proved too much to bear, and he gasped for air and then lost consciousness and collapsed forward.The old man stopped by the door and shut it from the inside. He turned around and observed Jim. “Mm…he’s at least got the determination to not give up. You need that much if you want to reach a high level in the realm of martial arts.” He used his foot to turn Jim’s body to the other side. As night fell, three young men who had their eyes on Bob’s house for hours finally began to approach it.“Bob Shriner… his paintings were sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars in the past. Some of his best paintings were sold for millions, too.”“Yeah. If we can get our hands on at least three of his paintings, then our lives are settled.”“Why only three? Jim was done with practicing because he had been at it for so long he wasn’t able to move anymore. Every part of his body was hurting now, even his brain, because he had to keep his focus high for a very long time during the whole practice session that lasted for hours. The old man also kept hitting him with the stick, so that only added to the pain that Jim was already feeling from the sheer physical exertion, which was very different compared to exercising in the gym. Jim didn’t hate this change. In fact, he liked how tired he was. Usually, his pants wouldn’t get completely soaked after exercise, but now, his shorts were soaking wet. A layer of sweat covered every inch of his body, even the soles of his feet. Jim kept punching the wooden posts that the robot had supplied in abundance.. Instead of rushing, he kept giving the punches everything, even though striking the wood hurt like hell.Whenever Jim stopped from pain, Demon Dwarf told him to continue hitting. “If you stop, you won’t be able to win at all. Use the breathing technique as well as the mental technique together with the punch. Only then, your body will be able to bring out the miracle.”Jim understood that, which was exactly why he was giving it everything with every single punch even though his bones were being bruised and fractured. Though the robot helped Jim by healing his injuries by commanding the nanobots, the nanobots in his body still used part of his energy to heal him, so he felt tired as a result. Thanks to this, his body was able to imprint this feeling down to every cell in his arms.With every breath taken, Jim could feel the cells in his body bursting out of energy like the sun and supplied energy, which streamlined and resulted in a powerful fist strike that was able to easily punch its way through thick concrete walls.As outstanding as it was to watch, Jim couldn’t keep at it for no longer than three minutes. After that, his arms gave up.
