Boss of the Jager Organization

The shot caused the crystal at the top of the tower to crack and slowly disintegrate in an explosion. A wave of energy swept through the air to where Kato and Oliver were. Both immediately turned their heads towards the portal that was quite a distance away from where they were.

"The portal is shrinking!" Kato shouted.

"We have to hurry! I don't want to get stuck in this dimension!" Oliver recreated the shadow horse.

Since there was no time left, Kato got on the horse as well. Oliver rode his horse at full speed. He used his Mana to speed up his horse.

"The portal is closing very fast!" Oliver was afraid he wouldn't be able to catch up. They were currently about a kilometer away from the portal.

"Maybe I can do this!" Kato remembered his teleportation technique. His memory of the battle between himself and Gideon had come in handy.

"Do what?" Oliver doubted that they would make it in time.

Before snapping his fingers, he held Oliver's shoulder with one hand. And when he snapped his fingers, they moved right by the portal. Oliver was very surprised by that. This was the first time he had teleported that far.

"How come?" Oliver glanced at Kato.

"I'll explain later!" Kato immediately pulled Oliver into the portal.

They both ran to the end of the portal hallway. Everything seemed to be shrinking slowly along the passage. Kato thought that they didn't have much time left. Using his light element, he created a pair of wings behind himself. Kato grabbed Oliver's hand and carried him quickly.

"Hang on!" Kato shouted.

"Oh, no! The portal's about to close!" Oliver thought they wouldn't make it.

When they were at the lip of the portal, Kato threw his friend first to get out of the portal that left a slight gap.

"Kato!" Oliver looked up at the young man. The portal was left the size of a soccer ball.

When it closed completely, Oliver saw no sign of Kato coming out of it.

But...

"Good thing the teleportation worked."

Oliver heard a familiar voice. As he looked back, he saw Kato standing, dusting off his clothes.

"You did it!" Oliver immediately hugged his friend.

"Of course I did it. I wasn't going to stay there anyway." Kato smiled. He was so happy to end this nightmare.

"Oliver! What's going on? Why did the portal close?" A Jager approached him with a confused face.

Oliver explained about how he closed the portal. And some of the Jager leaders who were there asked Oliver to explain it to the elite troops who were in another city. Using a communication device given by a Jager officer, Oliver explained to all the Jagers who were fighting in another city. The information was immediately implemented by the Jagers to close portals in all cities in the country.

Unfortunately, when Oliver wanted to introduce his new friend, Kato disappeared. The young man left before one of the Jagers approached Oliver. He continued to look for Kato in various places. He even asked people, but no one had seen him.

"Why did you leave? I wanted to introduce you as a hero." Oliver was very grateful to Kato. If Kato hadn't brought him into the portal, perhaps this apocalypse would have continued.

And after a few hours passed, finally all the Jagers across the city managed to close all the portals. Although there were some who didn't make it back, the Ordog apocalypse was finally prevented.

Oliver, who was still at the location, had hoped that Kato could meet him. But until nightfall, he never met the young man. Finally, he chose to return to the main headquarters of the Jager with disappointment.

"Oliver, the boss wants to talk to you." One of Jager's elites stopped him right at the entrance to the main headquarters.

The Jager headquarters were spread across several provinces. However, the main headquarters that Oliver visited was in the nation's capital. It looked like an ordinary high-rise building, but when you went inside, everything inside was protected by the energy coming from the crystal. The building only had twelve floors on top, but had a hundred floors underground.

Oliver was currently right in front of the lobby. Many Jager were passing by the door he had entered earlier.

"What for?" Oliver was curious.

"I don't know. Hurry up and leave. When I saw him earlier, his face looked annoyed." The jager left after tapping Oliver on the shoulder.

The man didn't know what his boss wanted to talk about, but he hoped it wasn't a pay cut. He got into the special elevator that would take him to the hundredth floor.

While waiting, he saw his face in the reflection of the elevator wall. There was curiosity in the back of her mind. He wanted to see Adam again. His figure was very mysterious to Oliver.

"Oliver?" As the elevator doors opened, a sexy woman stood with a surprised face.

"You were also called by the boss?" Oliver only greeted her briefly. After that, he walked away.

"I heard there was someone who helped you close the portal. Where is that person?" Elena asked him.

"He disappeared at the location. I'm also looking for him." Oliver didn't turn to Elena at all. He seemed indifferent to her.

"I hope you can find him. It seems like the boss is very obsessed with that mysterious friend of yours." Elena got into the elevator as the doors opened.

Hearing that, Oliver understood the reason he was called was probably because of Adam. Unfortunately, he had no idea where Adam was.

On the hundredth floor was an object of great importance to the main headquarters. Right in the middle of it, there was a white crystal placed on a small tower that was ten meters high. The elite Jagers said that the crystal was obtained from a hunt inside the portal.

The crystal could emit protective energy in the form of Mana. The Mana enveloped the entire main headquarters building and made it immune to other Mana attacks. It was said that the Mana contained in the crystal was unlimited. But Oliver didn't believe it.

"Come in." Someone answered Oliver's knock on the door.

"What's calling me? I just want to go home. It's been a long day." Oliver sat down across from the Jager leader.

"Your actions in ordering all the Jager to attack the crystal inside the portal were brilliant. Some say you were helped by someone. He has the ability to manipulate light. Is he one of the Jager?" Bruce Skywalker; the head of the Jager organization in the western country wanted to know who the stranger was.

"He is not one of us. He is a wild Jager. I don't know why he didn't report or become a Jager. In my opinion, he is probably at the level of the SS rank. If you ask where he is now, the answer is that I don't know. He disappeared without saying goodbye." Oliver has a feeling Adam will reappear sometime in the future. But that was just his guess.

"Can we track him down?" asked Bruce.

"For what?" Oliver wanted to know.

"Because he might know the reason for the invasion that just happened. My eyes saw a future that wasn't supposed to happen. And I saw it." Bruce thought the stranger who helped Oliver was the key to the future of the entire Jager.

Oliver was silent for a moment. If what Bruce said was true, then the Jager organization should be able to find him.

"What might he know?" Oliver asked again.

"The origin of the Jager." Bruce looked at Oliver as he handed over something. A paper containing a letter from the elders.
