With a haughty grin, the man introduced himself, “Oscar Evans. I don’t think you know me, do you? Well, I'm not surprised. It's obvious you don't belong here.” His eyes swept over Jason dismissively before he added, “I see Ms. Karl has gone out of her way to bring along her driver. Maybe it’s best if you left before you embarrass yourself.” His tone dripped with condescension, and Jason felt a flicker of irritation.

Before Jason could respond, Oscar continued, clearly enjoying himself. “This venue is strictly for the upper echelon. You’re out of your league, friend,” he said, sneering. “A driver like you couldn’t possibly appreciate any of this.”

Jason clenched his jaw, determined to hold back his frustration, though it was becoming increasingly difficult. Though he was dressed in casual clothes, he wasn’t here to draw attention or start a confrontation, but Oscar’s smug attitude was testing his patience.
