CH216: Shared Past

Five months later

Liana was sitting by the bed side quietly. She tried to focus on the book in her hands but then gave up. She looked up at the boy lying peacefully on the bed with a serene look.

These past six months that he's been unconscious, his face seemed to have aged a bit and he looked more mature than when he had first fallen unconscious.

"Look at you sleeping there so peacefully," She poked him and drew her seat closer. "If you don't wake up sooner, I'll graduate before you and you won't have anyone to compete with you in class anymore."

The ward was silent and Liana sighed. She brushed away her hair fringes and told him, "At least, it's better than you gone. I wouldn't be able to bear it if you were."

She held his palm which was pale and thin but at least the doctor said he was now receiving treatments.
