Chapter 20: Friends in High Places!

Joe Cole stood frustrated as everyone mocked him for all the dramas he was performing, no one believed him when he said he had a car and Emily's question made matters worse for him as the mockery took a leap on him.

“My car is parked outside, just give me a minute.” He said to Linda but she wasn't playing his games anymore.

“First you make all kinds of outrageous threats to get us fired, then you claim you can pay $1.5 million. Next, it's a gold card; now you have a car. What exactly is your problem?” Linda blew hot on him, her anger and fury could be felt from the vibrations of her tone. Joe Cole was really frustrating her day and she was done with it.

Joe Cole tried to get close to her to explain things, knowing she had the right to be mad at him now.

“Linda, I am sorry for everything but I promise you, if you can give me this one chance, I will…”

Jake cut him short,

“Shut up, you pig. You're asking for one chance so you can make for escape. That's not happening.” He lashed at Cole.
