Joe Cole smiled at Mr Hudson's statement, he knew the man was threatening him and didn't care. However, he whispered back to him, “Not this rat, Mr Hudson,” and walked past him to meet Mercury.

“Thank you, Merc. I really appreciate you standing up for me every time.” Joe Cole whispered to her and she glowed with smile, everyone could see how deeply in love with Joe Cole she was.

“You'll take me to lunch then?” She whispered back to ask, furthering the conversation towards her end game.

Joe Cole chuckled, she took him to lunch the first time and he could remember how he felt when she offered to take him to lunch. Now, she was asking him to take her to lunch, nothing gave him more joy.

“Definitely.” He answered with enthusiasm, “Even if you want it now, I'm down for it.”
