“Is this about the auction?” Michael asked William Sullivan as they continued the tense moment in the office.

William scoffed, curling his lips into a sneer of disdain. “Of course, it's about the auction,” he spat with venom dripping from his tone. “You had the audacity to challenge me and take sides with the lowlife child who knows nothing about our world and how it operates. You dare to embarrass me, Michael.”

Michael chuckled and straightened his spine to meet William's glare head-on. “I did what I believed was right,” he declared firmly with conviction knowing that he worked by the books and also stood by a young man who everyone wanted to tear apart for no reason. “I won't compromise the right thing nor break the law for anyone, least of all the Sullivans.”
