THE PACKAGE

Something did not seem right with Charles, Helen being sensitive could hear her guts telling her out loud but she decided not to press further since he could handle it. She didn't know where to start from in the house chores, as her laundry was piling up so were the dishes in the kitchen. Helen never entertained visitors, though she is an outdoor person she still could not risk letting people know who she is. The only two important groups of people that knew her place was her relations and her four best friends.

Helen was just about to get to work when her phone rang, she noticed it was a private number and wondered why the person would hide his number from her, it was strange.

"Ya, who is this? Yea that's me".

The voice she heard across the phone sounded familiar which she could not just place.

"I am fine, thank you. Are you going to reveal yourself and why your number is hidden?" The person sounded stubborn in revealing his identity

"Mtchhhheeeew". Helen hissed so loudly as she hung up the call. She knew someone was monitoring her and was careful not to reveal his identity. She immediately silenced her phone as she went back to work.

She needed music she thought as she walked into her living room to put in the mp player, today was going to be a long and stressful one for her.

Michael was all too stubborn, he knew what he wanted and as well knew he would stop at anything to get her for himself, her stubbornness and the strong-willed person made him fall in love with her even more. He knew it wasn't going to be easy for him but he also knew she was what he needed. He suspected something was bothering her as she left the gymnasium, he was unable to confront her confidently as she walked out on him. Searching through her files in the gymnasium, he saw her profile and write down her number.

He saw it as a blessing for Helen joining his class, he wanted her for himself since the day he stumbled upon her in his early morning jogging. Just as he got home he decided to give her a call not forgetting to hide his identity.

" Hello, am I speaking to Helen?" After a long pause and her response, he continued.

"How are you, I wish I could tell you who I am but....". Just immediately she hung up, just as he expected but though not sooner.

He knew she had lots of heartbreaks as he had dug into her file. A rich well-educated girl from a well-to-do family who had a sister who is now married and two brothers. Of course with so much knowledge attained it won't be enough if marriage was not included, which is why she is staying alone. It was too bad that she was being successful in everything except for relationships, there was no need for her to look into another relationship anymore since she had him. He knew it was not going to be that easy but he had a strong conviction that he was in love with her already.

Cleaning the house was the most stressful task Helen had ever done, though she didn't want any nanny or maid, she saw it as all together laziness. Her bell immediately rang, she hurried with the table she was arranging and ran off to the door.

"Woah" Helen found herself shouting.

" Helen, how are you doing? It's been a while".

"What a surprise, why didn't you tell me you were coming?" She smiled in excitement upon seeing her sister.

"Dear, no need, am no longer a visitor".

" Well am fine where you left me, your hubby has snatched you away from me".

"Snatch? Please don't say that, you know you could always visit". She explained as she went for the chair in the living room, she didn't stop admiring the house and nodded her head in approval.

" Big sister what can I get you, name it? Helen said excitedly.

"Your house is pretty baby sister". She replied ignoring the question had asked her.

" What can I get you?" Helen asked ignoring her compliment.

"Nothing, it's been how many months now?"

"Three. But you need to.....

" Fine, just get me water". Cathy immediately caught Helen short from her words.

Helen had always admired Cathy's way of handling things in relationships better than her, she wished she could relay her issue to her.

"Is everything okay with you?" Cathy asked as if reading her mind.

"Ya sure, just that Charles had been in an accident and am worried about him". Helen tried defending herself. Cathy knew Helen was so terrible at lying and so decided to intentionally keep her quiet.

" You don't have to worry he's going to be fine. By the way, what's up with your 24th birthday?" Cathy questioningly asked.

"Well, no idea but my besties got my back". Helen did not notice that each time she mentions her best friends something like fear in Cathy's eyes shook.

"So what's your very plan, I have been wanting to show you a special place, and trust me you are going to love it"

"I would love that"

"You would, but there is one condition"

"Which is?" Helen asked with her eyebrow raised

"You need to bring a date"

"Cathy what kind of outing is that".

" Like I said it's a promise"Cathy was already silently praying Helen accepts her surprise gift.

"But u know I don't have any"

"Baby girl we still got a month left for the celebration" Cathy started as she winked at her.

"Hmmm, so that was the reason you visited?"

"Nahhh, so you did not notice the change in me?"

"What else than marriage chan...ge....no way, don't tell me you are....".

" Pregnant, Ya". Cathy concluded Helen's guess.

"For how long?"

"Well, just two weeks old"

"Congrats girl, you are a mama now" Both of them burst into laughter.

"I have to go now before hubby calls, didn't tell him I was coming here"

"Go where I haven't even brought your water"

"Girl, don't worry I am perfectly okay, you just have to think of who to make your date".

" You wanna set me up in this Cathy, and I will have to tell you that you have failed". Helen stated as she feigned anger.

Cathy had the plan in order, what is left is to actualize it, she knew it was for Helen's good and was excited to be the head of the plan. Her father and mother were her backups, the only people she needed not to tell were her best friends, she had a bad feeling about them. Especially the one called Laycon who was the silent one and head of the gang, she was not going to reveal her plan to them, they are less than family. She just hoped Helen liked it. She dialed a number on her phone while she stopped a taxi.

"Hello...ya...you can set it up now...you don't need anyone's permission, I am in charge....yes you can set it up now and remember if she has the slightest clue I am the one, the deal is off". The caller hung up.

" Where madam?"

"Take me to the Villa"
