Riele's POV.FLASHBACK."The math homework I gave you guys should be submitted before the day is completely over." Our math teacher, Mr. Jones said, and we all nodded.I knew he was reffering to Liz, since Liz happens to be the class president this term.I voted for her, because I know she deserves the position. She's a walking thesaurus anyways. The teacher left the class, while everyone started packing out, and dropping their math homework on Liz's desk. I equally did the same, followed by Karen, and Ashely.Karen, and Ashely stood up with their things, and left the class. They always involve themselves in school activities.I looked at Liz, as she heartily concentrate on arranging the papers in front of her.I sighed, and brooded over what I found out. My mind whirling with images born of a multitude of impulses. My eyes couldn't stop staring at Liz, and my mind couldn't stop contemplating the flood of sad feelings that would spring forth out of her when she finds out exactly what
Oct. 28. Wednesday.Riele's POV.Walking inside the Café doorway, I immediately walked to my best spot. A couch leaning on a wall with a wide window on top of it.I sat down on the couch, and my friends followed behind. Karen sat beside me while Ashley, and Liz sat opposite. A table situated between us."Aren't we ordering?" Karen asked.I just shrugged, and crossed my legs."Well, I need americano." Liz pointed, her hands folded on the table."If you're helping, Karen, I'll need mocha latte." Ashley included leaning on the chair.Karen nodded, and faced me. "What do you need?""Just decaf." I told her.She stood, and walked up to the counter."Ever since yesterday, Riele. My mind couldn't stop thinking."My forehead puckered, and I looked at Liz. "What do you mean?""I'm curious." She said."About what?" I asked still befuddled at what she meant."About wanting to know what you have against Jules. It must be pretty big."I rolled my eyes, and a huge sigh came out of me. It turns out
ASHLEY'S POV.I haven't really had the time to find out if Joel lied to me, or probably the truth about the fact that he cheated, even though I'm extremely curious about it, but right now my curiosity is on what he seriously wants to talk to me about. He sighed after a short moment we'd been outside. I'm purposely giving him time."I have a confession to make." He blurted nervously."That you cheated on me?" I asked plainly without thoughts.Somehow I knew that was what he came to tell me. He is never this nervous or else he is scared of saying something. He nodded. "I'm sorry I lied. I was just scared, and everything happened out of the blue. I wanted to save myself. My eyes glued on him as the words escaped his mouth. What should I do? I thought. He's actually saying the truth to me."Why did you do it?" I asked still affected at the thought of him cheating. My face seemed void of emotions, but my mind is filled with a lot of whys."It was a mistake. I was tempted."I scoffed at the
Oct. 29. Thursday.Riele's POV.My thoughts have been filled up ever since realization settled on me. The realization of not seeing my dad til next year. I've tried letting them go but to no avail.I rested my elbow on the arm of my chair and propped my chin on my hands like someone who was tasked with the greatest impossible thing.I'm so disappointed in myself for not getting used to reality. I guess it's due to hope, but as they say, hope is a good breakfast but a bad supper. My eyes averted as Levi entered the class. I dropped my hands on my desk. He quickly looked away from me as our eyes met, and he walked down to his seat.My mouth curved into a smile upon remembering all that I did to him.I remembered the day I slapped him out of the blue on the face in public. He couldn't do anything about it. I equally remembered when I announced his name as Liar Levi. I clearly recalled when I made him miss a test in school. I've also made him miss a class, but the test affected him more.
Riele's POV."Knock. Knock. Knock." I knocked with a mounting feeling of fear after hesitating for a long while.I needed, by all means, to keep the knowledge of my fear thrust firmly within me because my courage to help Dean depended on how successfully my fear is hidden from my consciousness.I stiffened as I heard a click sound. It was the door, and I saw its knob move. The door opened ajar, and my eyes met the face of Dean's mother. Mrs. Black.Upon seeing her, my body was immediately wrapped in a blanket of blazing terror, and a hard ache captured my head."Who are you?" She asked with furrowed brows, still holding her door."I...I..." I stuttered subconsciously. My heart was beating like a drum, and a wild impulse to turn around and walk away crept into me, but it feels like I was dragged, and thrown into a very dark hole with no way of coming out.I know damn well the sense I'm feeling, and it's the sense of guilt. I should have come a long time ago."Are you OK?" Mrs. Black as
(Flashback.)3rd person POV."Well, well, well. Look at that car!" Levi said in admiration as his eyes followed the car's movement.Dean tilted his head at him. "It's just a car, Levi."Levi looked at Dean with a scoff. "To you, it's just because your dad owns one like that, but mine don't.'Dean just shook his head and looked around where they stood. "Are we gonna keep standing in the sunshine?"Levi snuffed a cigarette. "This corner is the perfect place to hide and smoke.""Well, stand under the shelter, and lean against the wall since you're being a bad boy," Dean said with a half-shrug.Levi rolled his eyes and took steps backward, then he leaned his back against the blue-brick wall that has the protection of the sun above his head.Dean kept standing there not liking the fact that they are here behaving like some kind of rogue street boys."Are you not going to get out of the sun anymore?" Levi asked.Dean sighed and walked to where Levi is.Levi brought out a pack of cigarettes
3 days later.Nov. 1st. Sunday. After taking a bath, and putting on something nice for the day, consisting of a pair of jean trousers, a top, and black boots, I couldn't help but ponder back on Halloween night. Some people are just so good at annoying other people and I can tell because I happen to be one of them.I shook my head, and on my way out of my room, I carried my leather jacket, stepped out of the room, and slammed the door behind me, bounding headlong down the stairs. The smell of scrambled eggs and bacon filled my senses.Getting to the kitchen, I saw my mom as she stood at the stove busily scrambling eggs in a bright nonstick skillet."Good morning, mom." I greeted. She glanced at me. "Good morning. How was your night?""It was fine," I replied heading towards the fridge to get myself milk to drink.Filling it in a glass cup, I walked closer to the dining table that is already filled with the plates me and my mom is gonna use. l pulled out a chair under it and sat down. C
Nov. 2nd. Monday.Arriving at school, and walking down the hallway to my locker, I couldn't help but notice eyes staring at me.I looked at a girl whom I felt her eyes on me for a while, but she immediately looked away minding her business. I looked around to see everyone behaving the same way causing me to wonder why.I shook my head trying out the thoughts and got to my locker. I unlocked it, and put my bag in. On closing it, my eyes met Liz making my heart jump a little."What is it?" I flinched."You haven't heard right?" She asked.I furrowed my brows. "Heard what?""About Vida."I tilted my head wondering how it is supposed to be my business. She huffed. "Of course, you wouldn't know her as Vida since you only refer to her by one name, so I'll clarify it for you. Have you heard the news about the girl you call Crazy?" She asked. My face blanked, obviously not liking where she was going.Liz nodded. "OK. I guess you wouldn't want to know since you never cared, but I'll tell you a
