(Flashback.)3rd person POV."Well, well, well. Look at that car!" Levi said in admiration as his eyes followed the car's movement.Dean tilted his head at him. "It's just a car, Levi."Levi looked at Dean with a scoff. "To you, it's just because your dad owns one like that, but mine don't.'Dean just shook his head and looked around where they stood. "Are we gonna keep standing in the sunshine?"Levi snuffed a cigarette. "This corner is the perfect place to hide and smoke.""Well, stand under the shelter, and lean against the wall since you're being a bad boy," Dean said with a half-shrug.Levi rolled his eyes and took steps backward, then he leaned his back against the blue-brick wall that has the protection of the sun above his head.Dean kept standing there not liking the fact that they are here behaving like some kind of rogue street boys."Are you not going to get out of the sun anymore?" Levi asked.Dean sighed and walked to where Levi is.Levi brought out a pack of cigarettes
3 days later.Nov. 1st. Sunday. After taking a bath, and putting on something nice for the day, consisting of a pair of jean trousers, a top, and black boots, I couldn't help but ponder back on Halloween night. Some people are just so good at annoying other people and I can tell because I happen to be one of them.I shook my head, and on my way out of my room, I carried my leather jacket, stepped out of the room, and slammed the door behind me, bounding headlong down the stairs. The smell of scrambled eggs and bacon filled my senses.Getting to the kitchen, I saw my mom as she stood at the stove busily scrambling eggs in a bright nonstick skillet."Good morning, mom." I greeted. She glanced at me. "Good morning. How was your night?""It was fine," I replied heading towards the fridge to get myself milk to drink.Filling it in a glass cup, I walked closer to the dining table that is already filled with the plates me and my mom is gonna use. l pulled out a chair under it and sat down. Nov. 2nd. Monday.Arriving at school, and walking down the hallway to my locker, I couldn't help but notice eyes staring at me.I looked at a girl whom I felt her eyes on me for a while, but she immediately looked away minding her business. I looked around to see everyone behaving the same way causing me to wonder why.I shook my head trying out the thoughts and got to my locker. I unlocked it, and put my bag in. On closing it, my eyes met Liz making my heart jump a little."What is it?" I flinched."You haven't heard right?" She asked.I furrowed my brows. "Heard what?""About Vida."I tilted my head wondering how it is supposed to be my business. She huffed. "Of course, you wouldn't know her as Vida since you only refer to her by one name, so I'll clarify it for you. Have you heard the news about the girl you call Crazy?" She asked. My face blanked, obviously not liking where she was going.Liz nodded. "OK. I guess you wouldn't want to know since you never cared, but I'll tell you a
Liz's POV."LIZ!" Karen called.I stopped in my tracks and turned to see her running towards me. "What is it?" I asked frowning. She stopped getting to me, and let out a harsh breath. "I've just been wondering why you've been so distant since the day started. Since the principal called Riele."I scoffed. "I don't think you should be that daft, Karen. A ticking time bomb like Riele has exploded and I refuse to get hit by a shrapnel."Karen furrowed her brows in confusion. "Aren't we supposed to be her friend?"I chuckled at her juvenile way of thinking. "Are we supposed to be her friend?"She gave me a disbelieving look. "So now that her day goes dark, we that are supposed to be the great natural force to provide light disappear out of sight, ah?"I shook my head. "You're wrong, Karen. I'm not a light in Riele's life.""If you're not, then what are you...?" She trailed giving me a look that's seeping guilty feelings inside me. "The opposite? Cause if you're not a light then you're a da
2 days later.4th. Nov. Wednesday.Getting all dressed up for school, I heard my doorbell ring making me wonder who it was.Things haven't been going exactly well for me in the past day since Vida's disappearance. It's confirmed that Liz and Ashley were avoiding me, but I can't blame them. I couldn't. They obviously don't want to get caught in the crossfire.I tried to push Karen away, but I guess she's the only friend who has ever cared about me. I still feel alone though, and the eyes staring at me scream hatred, and 'you deserve it!'But I won't fall for any of those shit. I can't let them get to me, and they literally can't because my cards against them are still active.Taking my bag, I came out of my room and slowly started walking downstairs, taking one step at a time like someone who has been paralyzed for a long time."Is there any reason why you would want to interrogate my daughter?" I heard my mom's voice. My impulses were deadlocked causing me to be stone-still.Interroga
Riele's POV.Ever since I arrived at school, it alone has been a thorn in my flesh that sometimes I wish to wrap myself with a heavy blanket to prevent the thorns from continuously darting at me.It's obvious everyone has got something to say to me, but they know they can't, and that is really soothing.Right now, I'm all alone in the cafeteria. I don't have anyone sitting with me except Karen who is not here yet. Liz and Ashley have totally left me. There is now a long bridge between us. It makes me feel how slowly things are capable of changing.I sighed and forcefully tried to scoop a spoon of spaghetti into my mouth. My appetite is slowly drifting away."Hey, Rie." I heard Karen call, making me brighten up.She walked up to my front and placed her food on the table sitting down.I mentally smiled in appreciation of having her by my side."How was practice?" I asked. She widened her eyes dramatically in a tiresome way. "Hefty, but you know I have to do it. My dad is the only one tr
5th Nov. Thursday.Riele's POV.It happened again. I absolutely can't get my mind off it. Last night, Vida showed herself to me again using the same tactic and creating a sense of déjà vu within me. I'm getting really scared and annoyed by it.I don't get the game she's playing with me. Everyone is worried about her, but she seems to be playing hide and seek with me.I wonder how disastrous things we go before she decides to completely show her face.I looked around as I arrived at school. A familiar face caught me in my tracks. There was a brooding surprise on my face and a look of awe like someone who is still tantalized by how a chameleon changes its color. He walked up to me. "I've been waiting for you."I furrowed my brows at the statement. He's been waiting for me?"D...Dean? I stuttered still boxed in surprise. He nodded. "I don't remember you being a stammerer, but yeah. There is no face like mine."It's nice he still has his sense of humor. I thought, staring at him from up t
Riele's POV.Standing in front of my window, I rested my elbows on my window sill, and looked up at the sky, mainly gazing at the beautiful stars in it, and their constellations.Sometimes I wish I could see Orion's belt constellation from where I stood, and how beautiful it shines, and also the big dipper, but I couldn't. It doesn't matter though since I love forming my constellations, and always stare at them.Normally, stargazing calms me down. It makes me feel free adding to the cold evening air. Stargazing helps me forget my problems, but for some reason, it couldn't help my whole body from being restless. It couldn't help me forget that I have a pending problem.Though seeing Dean today was a bit relaxing. I'm glad there isn't any dispute between us. I'd be lucky if this time we become friends, and I know that's what he always wanted, but with how things are going, I don't know.My ears alerted as they heard sounds, and instinctively, I looked away from the cloud, and back to th
