Chapter 25 - Escape Plan

Leo sat silently on the rocky ground with a face that visibly expressed his displeasure. A huge creature had, however, suddenly appeared in the cell and began to pound on the cell's metallic rods that beamed with every collision, yet, there wasn't a single scratch on it.

"You seem eager to leave here, young man?"

A young and husky voice reverberated from one of the prison cells, and a fairly muscular man revealed himself from the shadows. He looked like a man in his early thirties even though his bulky and bald head made him look excessively ugly.

He continued, "I think I've seen you here before. Oh, that dragon, why isn't it here to save you the way he did before!"

"Haha! Stupidly funny. Fortunately, I do not need assistance from any dragon cause I'll be out of here before you know it." Replied Leo.

"Definitely an affirmative statement for someone like you who can use magic in the cell..."

Suddenly, a voice from the cell in the deeper part of the passage interrupted the words of the man, "Argon... What you say, can a man truly use his ability in the cell?"

"Yea, he creates monsters, just like the late elder' son could," Argon revealed as he eyed Leo's body that turned restless.

The prisoner's voice from the further cell sounded immediately after Argon finished his statement, "That fella is so damn lucky, after all, hope he'll get out of here and take us along!"

A laugh echoed from the man's cell and Argon replied with a chuckle.

Meanwhile, Leo slowly replaced his once-defeated frown with a menacing smile that was hidden in the darkness. He briefly gazes at the gigantic monster before him and he suddenly looked displeased while he tilted his head in disapproval.

The monster in return shattered into invisible dust and a smaller-sized beast appeared within the gap of a second.

The tiger-like creature had all its features similar to that of a fully grown male tiger, only peeking its difference with the stranded and colorful furs that elongated on its back, as well as the prominent and razor-sharp claws whose length that surpassed seven inches ferociously dug into the supposedly rocky ground.

"Woah! The ground is not magic proof after all." A wicked smirk braced Leo's face while his eyes glimmered at the visible and rough shatter on the ground. The creature vastly began to dig into the ground with Leo's command as he slowly fell along on the back of the strong creature.

Seconds... Minutes... Hours and the beast kept on digging like it was an endless tunnel that led only to nothingness. But unfortunately, Leo quickly grew exhausted as the beast boosted up its digging pace.

Some more minutes later, Leo felt his exhaustion get to its peak. His body turned static and his vision became blurry.

Leo used his last strength to glare at his pale light-tone skin that was stained with dirt. His eyes furrowed a bit and in the next seconds, a radiating aura burst from his body as he transformed into his fire-graded appearance.

"No wonder! But does this mean I've been communicating with those men with my real appearance?" Leo's voice reverberated through the confined space, but unfortunately, the beast that dug into the ground disappeared into thin air.

The situation was expected as a wandering smile braced Leo's face even tighter. Since he has transformed into his potential and fire-graded figure, the creature made by his normal self should decompose as its original creator now surpassed the soul target it has in its normal form.

But in all, it simply meant Leo's fire-graded transformation differed from his normal appearance, and made them two entirely different persons with differing attributes, potential, and even the soul aspect.

The creature appeared in the hole once again, but this time, it looked more threatening and majestic than ever.

And with a flinch of the beast's mighty claws, it began to dig into the ground as if the very rocky ground was only a puddle of wet mud.

Only a couple more seconds when the creature kept on digging and they abruptly fell into a pitch-dark scene.

The surrounding brightened up with the appearance of dozens of glow worms that paraded almost all the parts of the cave.

Leo looked amazed all of a sudden as his eyes dazed at the gold and silver bars, pieces of jewelry, mystic artifacts, and unknown items that littered the ground. He even stood on a couple of them making his heart beat faster than usual.

The wealth and items in the twenty-meter wide and nine feet tall room could only make Leo wonder if the beast must have dug into the king's underground vault if he had one.

"Haha! Bel will be shamed if I tell him about this." A chuckle escaped Leo's lips as he still felt amazed seeing the riches, items, and wonders that could never be compared to Bel's cave that literally worth trash compared to the ones before him.

Suddenly, a small ring that was almost lost underneath the layer of gold coins piqued his interest and he instantly bent to pick it up.

ROAR!

A brain-jotting roar re-echoed from the wall and the ring had intensionally slipped from Leo's palm as his eyes keened at a particular direction in the cave. The digging monster as well, jumped in front of its master as its eyes roamed the cave for the creature whose blood-curdling roar revealed its massive size.

"Where is that damn creature?"

"Over here!" A squeaky voice answered from behind his back almost immediately and Leo abruptly turned to look at the creature that had luckily sneaked behind him.

Dazing at the scene in front of him, Leo's eyes widened mostly due to shock as he stared at a small creature, about the size of a cat.

"Impossible!" Leo's jaw dropped in awe while he stared at the furry cat with two round bulgy and green eyes.

A roar escaped the cat's mouth as an answer to his exclamation, and Leo almost staggered to the ground.
