Chapter 7, My Blessed Gem.

The next morning.

Liam grunted as he’s eyes slowly opened.

The previous day was both tedious and eventful for him.

He glanced over at the clock on the wall that said six am, Liam doesn’t wake up this early on weekdays but the pain from the blessed gem poking at he’s leg lead to the current situation.

Liam turned himself over and pulled out the gem from he’s pocket and Immediately became absorbed in its unholy lighting.

The gem had dark crimson clouds within it, almost like a mini thunder storm, the outer layer was perfectly crafted beyond anything a man nor machine could ever hope to archive.

And within the dark clouds Liam could had sworn he spotted a little humanoid creature frozen within it.

“Blessed Gem”.

Liam murmured before suddenly shooting up to he’s feet’s.

He jumped he’s computer table and began to type hysterically, the keyboard keys sounded like ammunition with Liam’s fingers acting as the trigger.

“Blessed gems, what exactly are they?”.

The information Liam got on the internet was limited, he couldn’t even get a stable definition off the most popular search engines.

He eventually settled for baseless comments off interactive sites, which most of them were just ignorant keyboard warriors with chunibyo, but after scrolling for hours Liam finally came across an interesting comment.

-LOL, check out these dumb shut-ins that think Blessed gems are some kind of Pokémon, if you truly want to know what a blessed gem is, log in to Olympus, You’re welcome dumbasses-

The comment didn’t particularly say anything that explains what a blessed gem was, but it did give a clue to how you can gain information about them.

Liam began searching up Olympus but he didn’t particularly find anything relating to blessed gems, Liam eventually decided to go back to the comment to ask them himself,

What’s an Olympus?, Liam wasn’t expecting a reply or anything but it was still worth the try.

Liam kept on scrolling through the pointless trivia that was until he came across another interesting comment witch read.

-The problem isn’t actually using a blessed gem, its finding one that’s the real issue, not only are they only sold on the dark web but they’re also ceased by government officials all around the world, but if you do find one you might wanna drip a drop of your blood on it so you can begin the process to awakening a blessed ability-

This comment was more direct than the last and gave Liam a more definite information.

A drop of blood.

“Was that all it took”

“Liam, it’s time for breakfast”.

Julie’s yell interrupted Liam’s stream of thought.

Liam looked up at the clock and this time it said eight twenty, Liam spent over an hour scrolling through thousands of comments only to find little to nothing about what he was searching for, that was how little people knew of the mysterious entities known as blessed gems.

...

What took you so long, A disciplined man should be able to keep up with simple rules like be at the dining table at exactly eight am”. Mr O’Neil said coldly as Liam took he’s seat at the dinning table.

“Don’t worry about it”. Liam responded without any particular emotion displayed on he’s face.

Liam wasn’t exactly hungry, or maybe he was too preoccupied by the blessed gem still in he’s room, For some strange reason he felt worried and uncomfortable after being separated from it.

“Hey big bro, how was your date with Bell?”.

“It was good”.

Liam answered subconsciously.

“No it wasn’t a date, it was simply two friends hanging out”. Liam quickly added.

“Hehe, deny it all you want, your hearts definitely says otherwise”. Julie said with a dark snicker.

“You even waste your time on dates, this is the time in your life when you’re supposed to plan for the future, but instead you’re planning dates with friends”.

Liam’s fork didn’t go down to he’s plate this time around, Liam was done, not just with breakfast but with listening to he’s fathers nagging, he was done having he’s friends looked down upon, he was done being told where to be.

“As I said, it was a date, Bell and I simply went to see the fireworks show at the carnival, and surely you wouldn’t mind as she’s the only friend that’s worth anything right, so she gets to stay with me, if it were up-to you and your lame principles i would be alone my whole goddamned life, only the useful once, the once that can assist you in your pursuit of pointless paper, I mean if you want paper that much why don’t you go the bathroom and scarf down toilet paper before”.

“Liam”.

Julie screamed.

Liam raised he’s head only to meet Julie’s tearful eyes.

He looked around the dining space, and all the maids had a terrified expression on their faces, well except for one of them that strangely had more of an amused look on her face.

Liam’s gaze eventually settled on he’s father, he’s father had a dark expression, clearly he was pissed off by Liam’s blatant outburst.

“Sorry”.

Liam apologized before leaving he’s sit and going back up stairs to he’s room, as for who the apology was for, no one could really tell, it could had been directed at Julie, maybe Mr O’Neil or even the maids, but that wasn’t Lisa’s problem at the moment, cause she had to retrieve that blessed gem.

Lisa silently watched as Liam ran up the stairs, while blending into the maids with black and white uniform.

“My blessed gem”. She said with a cold gaze that threatened to pierce through Liam’s back.
